Last week, our Head of Fire Safety, Josh Alderson, was invited to speak at MSB's hoarding workshop. Josh covered the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and the responsibilities of Responsible Persons under this legislation. He also discussed the fire safety risks associated with hoarding, which affects about 5% of the population, and highlighted key considerations for landlords and housing providers. The focus on this session was on ensuring support is provided and conducting 'person-centred' fire risk assessments for residents identified as vulnerable.
