Congratulations to Penn State Shenango Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator Brandi Baros, who's Lab Safety Week micro-learning videos earned the Marketing Single Media Award from the Campus Safety, Health, and Environmental Management Association (CSHEMA). Baros partnered with Shenango's Laboratory Attendant Kayla Aldan, the Strategic Communications office, as well as Teaching Professor of Science Kathy Shaffer and her students, and showcased the state-of-the-art Forker Laboratory facilities as part of the award winning campaign. Kansas Farm Bureau (KFB) is offering its Communications, Media and Spokesperson training April 23-24 in Lawrence. This training will provide attendees the skills necessary to use stories, statistics and key messages to make messages stand out and connect with relevant audiences. "Participating in Communication, Media and Spokesperson training has given me the tools to feel comfortable in speaking on issues that are pertinent to agriculture," Ashley Beying, a past participant of CMS, says. "I have been able to utilize the knowledge from this training by telling my story to legislators and other leaders in the industry.
