Did you know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month? Our medical imaging club's "Pink Out" service event honored those who have or are currently battling breast cancer. The event also served to educate the student population about the warning signs of the disease that can be spotted through proper self-examination. Additionally, students were encouraged to write down the names of loved ones who had battled breast cancer on pink ribbons that were placed on the group's October support board. Breast cancer affects 1 in every 8 women and has been spotted in men as nearly 1% of all cases of the disease are detected in males. You can learn more and find resources to support those who are fighting in the battle against it on the National Breast Cancer Foundation website: https://bit.ly/3DgtmSu #PennCollege #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth
