🎉Grateful to share that I have obtained a new certificate on Natural Gas from the University at Buffalo! This 15-hour course allowed me to explore several essential aspects of Natural Gas. 🔥 Here’s a brief overview of the 4 modules I completed: 1️⃣ Natural Gas Exploration: From the subsoil to the burner tip, covering quality, supply chain, production, drilling, and fracturing. 2️⃣ Treatment, Transmission, and Storage: Gas treatment, pipeline transmission, and storage. 3️⃣ Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Distribution: Liquefaction of natural gas, export and import terminals, as well as the fundamentals and functions of public utilities. 4️⃣ Security and Customer Service: Management of pipeline incidents, corrosion, leaks, monitoring, and customer services. #NaturalGas #EnergySector #UniversityAtBuffalo #Certification #LNG #GasExploration #OilAndGas #PipelineSafety

Curiosity led me to explore the intriguing process of fossil fuels, from the depths of the earth to their impact on the market. Using this raw material for years in my profession, a recent course expanded my understanding of how oil and gas operations influence the market. I highly recommend this course to professionals across various fields, provided you approach it with an open mind. [Link to the course completion certificate]

This is my new training topic in 2024! "Mature Field Development to Maximize Potential and Business Value" Mature Fields, are fields that are in a state of declining production or reaching the end of their productive lives. These fields are considered the “backbone” of the oil and gas industry, though new discoveries and developments often take the limelight.

Cheaper and Safer Plug & Abandonment (P&A)? When managing oil and gas facilities or wells, operators must consider the substantial costs of plugging and abandonment (P&A). These costs can be surprisingly high, sometimes accounting for 30% or more of the total expenditure associated with a well or facility. To provide a clearer picture, let's break it down a bit. When an oil or gas well reaches the end of its productive life, it can't just be left as is. There are stringent regulations and environmental considerations that mandate the proper closure of these wells. This process is known as "plugging and abandonment" (P&A). P&A involves securely sealing the well to prevent any potential leaks of oil, gas, or other substances that could harm the environment or pose safety risks. It's expensive. You bet! However, a recent article https://lnkd.in/gDkdttvh introduces a better approach. It uses long plugs, shorter rig days, and emits less CO2. You can see a more detailed comparison in the image. What do you think of P&A and this new approach? Is this method sustainable and scalable across diverse regions worldwide? #PAMethod #PlugAndAbandonment #NewPAApproach #TraditionalPA #RigTimeSavings #CostEffectivePA #CementingProcess #EnvironmentalImpact #RiskManagement #EconomicBenefits #HSEImprovements #OperationalEfficiency #NorwayPAMethod #LongPlugs #SingleOperation #CO2Reduction #SafetyEnhancements #ChemicalDisposalSavings #CostAnalysis #PAImplementation #EfficiencyAndSafety #IndustryInnovation

One of the most fascinating things I've been exposed to this period of my Industrial training is the world of Xmas trees. These mighty structures play a crucial role in the oil and gas industry. Xmas trees are like the guardians of the well, regulating and protecting the flow of fluids with their impressive valves and technology. Without them, oil wells would be a chaotic mess! It's been an honor to learn about these mighty structures at Kenyon International West Africa Limited and the crucial role they play in the oil and gas industry.
