Just a fun little project… A new piece of equipment we’re manufacturing will require many small jumper wires between relays and terminals blocks on a DIN rail. To lower the burden on assembly, I made an automatic wire stripper/ cutter that makes batches of pre-cut and stripped (notched for easy removal with a fingernail) lengths of wire. First time working with AWS32 and C++ but it’s actually been a lot of fun. Still need to refine some of the prints but so far it’s functioning well! #automation #industrialautomation #manufacturing #cnc #3dprinting

Using CNC cutting machines was a fascinating and enjoyable experience. It involves designing a digital blueprint, selecting materials, generating a G-code program, setting up the machine, choosing the right tool, calibrating, and then initiating precise automated cutting. I used Carbide motion and Carbide create to design and initiate the cutting. In the posted video, is a Carbide 3D Nomad 883 CNC cutting machine.
