Are you aware of the minimum distribution requirements for your Private Ancillary Fund (PAF)? Each year, a PAF must distribute at least 5% of its net assets to eligible Deductible Gift Recipients (DGRs), or a minimum of $11,000 if 5% of the assets fall below this threshold. However, no distributions are required during the PAF's first year of operation. PAFs can only distribute to DGR Item 1 entities, such as public benevolent institutions, educational bodies, or cultural organisations - ensuring donations go towards impactful causes that align with community needs.   Ensure your PAF meets its distribution obligations while supporting meaningful change. Key Takeaways: 📌V2I will be able to forward a donation as a credit to a future volunteer program, if the volunteer withdraws before the final cut off date of the program and if a flight has not been booked. 📌If a credit is issued for a volunteer, the volunteer will have three years to use the credit towards a V2I volunteer program. 📌Any donations that are older than three years will be incorporated into our operational budget to support our work and programming.
