🏈 Week 5 Showdown: Georgia vs. Alabama 🏈
Does it get any better than this? This Saturday features a highly anticipated top-five clash as Georgia travels to Tuscaloosa to face Alabama. With the expanded College Football Playoff now including 12 teams instead of 4, the stakes have slightly shifted. While the loser will likely remain in contention for a playoff spot and an SEC Championship berth, winning this game is particularly critical for Georgia, especially given the challenges of playing on the road in the SEC.
Georgia enters this matchup a bit banged up, missing key transfer wide receiver London Humphreys and dealing with injuries to quarterback Carson Beck and All-American guard Nate Ratledge. In contrast, Alabama appears to be at full strength, which could tilt the game in their favor.
There’s considerable buzz around this matchup as a potential preview of future SEC Championship and playoff clashes. The winner will be in the driver’s seat for the SEC Championship, while the loser will have to tread carefully to avoid another setback. Georgia enters as a 2.5-point favorite, but they must contain Alabama’s potent rushing attack led by dual-threat QB Jalen Milroe.
As always, we look beyond football to explore what drives the economies of Georgia and Alabama. This week, we also take a deep dive into the Athens music scene. As a first-generation American, my family's journey embodies the spirit of possibility and opportunity that defines this great nation. My father came from Greece, dreaming of becoming a doctor, but found success as a chef and restaurant entrepreneur—an unexpected path that highlights America's spirit of possibility and opportunity.
Governor Tim Walz's speech deeply resonated with me. Coming from humble Midwest beginnings, his rise reflects the same perseverance my family experienced. His declaration, "We are not going back," echoes a profound truth: we must protect the freedoms and ethos that make America the leader in the world as a free nation.
The threats posed by Project 2025 to our freedoms are real, but we cannot let them deter us. Kamala Harris's belief in the promise of America—that everyone should have the opportunity to join the middle class and fulfill their potential—is a vision we must strive to uphold.
Our family's story is a microcosm of the American dream, where humble beginnings can lead to extraordinary achievements. We must ensure that America remains a land of opportunity for all, where dreams can be realized, and futures can be built. Together, we can safeguard the promise of America and forge a brighter path for future generations.

Watch Cole Hocker. Not favored to place. Not expected to win. But he did what champions do—he dug deep. He found that extra gear. He kicked hard and he kicked late, upsetting the favorites to claim victory.
In business, just like in sports, the odds aren’t always in your favor. The competition might seem unbeatable. The challenges insurmountable. But remember this: Victory doesn’t belong to those who are expected to win. It belongs to those who refuse to lose.
When the pressure mounts and the stakes are high:
Stay disciplined. Stick to your training, your preparation. Know your plan and execute it.
Stay determined. The race isn’t over until you cross the finish line. Keep pushing, keep fighting.
Stay driven. Even when the favorites seem ahead, find that extra gear within yourself. Push harder, push further.
Cole Hocker’s big kick at the end wasn’t luck. It was the result of relentless training, an unbreakable will, and the heart of a champion. In business, be the one with the big kick. Outwork, outlast, and outthink your competition. Success is there for those who refuse to give up.

I have been doing research on Motor Preference and trying to understand what are the differences between an Aerial Athlete and a Terrestrial Athlete. In baseball pitching, there is the discussion that involves which part of the stride foot touches first, the toe ( front of the foot) or the heel ( back of the foot). I have learned that the Aerial Pitcher will land on the toe( front) and the Terrestrial Pitcher will land on his heel ( back). The Aerial Pitcher uses his upper torso to drive the delivery, similiar to Dontrelle Willis or Kenny Rodgers whereas a Terrestrial Pitcher like Shohei Otani or Justin Verlander woild uses his lower torso to drive the delivery, are considered Terrestrial. Each of the two different groupings have their own separate profile.
I have many questions trying to understand this clearly valid concept. I would like to ask just three right now.
1) Is it more adventageous with respect to velocity and consistency be Willis or Rodgers, or Otani and Verlander types everything else being equal?
2) Are most pitchers Aerial or Terrestrial?
3) What does the empirical data of Motor Preference pitchers who have a profile tell us about delivery, timing, and consequently consistency, of the pitcher?
I have more questions about Motor Preference because I am trying to understand the value of the relevance of this concept.
Losers let it happen, Winners make it happen.
Losers see thunderstorms, and Winners see rainbows.
Losers see icy streets, and Winners put on their ice skates.
Losers take chances, and Winners make choices.
It is all in the way you choose to think. You become what you think about. #Perspective#WhichAreYou
