Broke my annual record with 58 books read in 2023. Definitely the most fiction I’ve read in years thanks to Kate Sweeney’s hand-me-downs.
Review ⬇️
📖 Most thought provoking: Of Boys and Men, by Richard V Reeves, Rethinking Life, by Shane Claiborne, The Ballot and The Bible, by Kaitlyn Schiess, and The Case Against the Sexual Revolution, by Louise Perry.
I love books that challenge my thinking, and if you’re raising a son, I highly recommend Of Boys and Men.
📖 Most delightful: The Hotel Nantucket, by Elin Hilderbrand, The Breakaway and The Summer Place, by Jennifer Weiner, Anxious People, by Fredrik Backman, and Book Lovers, by Emily Henry.
📖 Books I wish everyone would read: Every Memory Deserves Respect, by Michael Baldwin & Deborah Korn, What Happened to You? by Bruce D. Perry & Oprah Winfrey, and The Deepest Well, by Nadine Burke Harris.
These 3 books are crucial in understanding how our past shows up in our present, how our physical health is directly linked to our emotional health, and what we can do to heal.
📖 Books worth reading twice: Maybe You Should Talk to Someone, by Lori Gottlieb, The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, by Sherman Alexie, and Expecting Adam, by Martha Beck.
These books made me laugh and cry, and gave me so much to consider. They opened my mind and heart in a new way.
