*𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗛*𝗧 𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡 - 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗬 | 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗙𝗔𝗜𝗥 - 𝟮𝟬/𝟮𝟭 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆* Chisenhale Dance Space will be taking over Ugly Duck in London Bridge for a weekend of art, activism, dance, and networking! 'Making Sh*t Happen' is a massive celebration of everything that makes CDS brilliant: people coming together to share ideas, experience radical performance, and make great sh*t happen! It is a way for us to gather and share the wonderful work we have been doing over the last year with the broader sector as well as celebrate pour peers and colleagues in the grassroots arts sector. 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗵*𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻: 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆, 𝟳𝗽𝗺, 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 £𝟲 / 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗞: https://lnkd.in/dbk_nCC5 This is an evening to dance, mingle, and celebrate the radical, explosive work of the CDS Artist Community and grassroots dance sector. With performances from Jose Funnell, Lizzy Tan, Sasha Shadid, Francisco Zhan & Yuki Nishimura. These brilliant artists circle queer & feminist performance, breakdance, vogueing, and activist action. Plus a DJ set from Harietta (Body Swap, Dalston Superstore) 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗵*𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻: 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺, 𝟭𝟮𝗽𝗺, 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 / 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗞: https://lnkd.in/dGnCvm4B A day of conversation, networking and drop-in workshops. In an age of political disappointment, how can we resist the capitalist stranglehold on our work? Join us to renew our faith in collectivity and hope. With stalls from collectives and orgs working across dance, activism and wellbeing including Raze Collective, Sensoria, oestrogeneration, Metal & Water, Babel Theatre Company, Hidden Keileon. Plus Artist Community members: Christopher Matthews, Renée Bellamy, Sham Miah & Savannah Theis! There'll also be panel talks about anti-ableism, artist leadership, governance and activism.
