International Day of Happiness.... We spent the morning in the company of some incredible leaders who are starting out on a journey of transformation as part of our Creating Transformation '24 programme. We asked everyone to share "what has brought you joy recently"... It comes as no surprise, but is a wonderful reminder, that it is so very often the work that we do, the successes, the small wins, the impact we can have aligning to our missions and visions, the programmes, performances, exhibitions and experiences that bring us so much joy. So to all and for all the incredible leaders doing incredible work across the sector - happy international day of happiness.

🌟 Monday Mindset: Embrace the Possibilities! 🌟 As we step into a new week, let’s take a moment to reset our intentions and fuel our motivation. Mondays are not just the start of a workweek but a fresh canvas for our goals and aspirations. ✨ Here are three ways to kickstart your week: Set Clear Intentions: Take a few minutes today to write down your top three priorities for the week. This will help you stay focused and make your tasks feel more manageable. Practice Gratitude: Reflect on what you’re grateful for, both personally and professionally. A positive mindset can increase resilience and productivity. Embrace Challenges: View obstacles as opportunities for growth. Each challenge is a chance to learn something new and develop your skills. Let’s approach this week with enthusiasm and an open mind! #MondayMindset #MotivationMonday #PersonalGrowth #Leadership #MindsetMatters #PositiveVibes #GoalSetting #WeeklyGoals #GrowthMindset

Leadership Retreats - Exploring the New As many of you know, I usually head off for Hawaii each March for my personal retreat. Time to step back from the day to day and take some quality time to reflect on what's going on on my life. What's working what's not and who/what else do I really really want to be/doing! I spend most of the year supporting leaders and teams in this work so always important for me, and all leaders, to take time to work on ourselves too! This March, I'm heading off in a different direction to explore the new! We start in Singapore, and I'm so looking forward to seeing the Gardens by the Bay, the amazing trees (see picture below by #ColeenRivas) and stretching my comfort zone, by walking across the skyway (heights are an ongoing challenge for me!!) Then Tasmania, Melbourne, and travelling across the outback all the way up to Darwin, so exciting and so much new to explore. Also lots of down time to just notice what's around me, stimulate new thoughts and reflect on where I am in life. Travelling and exploring new places is proven to have many benefits. It aids personal growth, stretches our comfort zones, provides adventure and relaxation (a change is as good as a rest they say!) and creates new neural pathways as we learn about different people, countries and cultures. We're all different! #appreciatingdifferences So when is your next break away from the day to day routine? Short or long, they all make for a healthier life. Providing you with more energy when you get back to it! And more positive energy from which to lead others. Love to hear your thoughts! #appreciatingdifferences #benefitsofthenew #exploring #retreats #leadership #wellbeing #health #positiveleadership

**Gratitude = Growth 🙌** Reflecting on my career, I’ve realized how powerful gratitude can be. A supportive work environment, amazing colleagues, and leaders who inspire—these are the things that truly fuel success. Gratitude isn’t just about saying "thank you." It’s about recognizing the value each person brings and building a culture where everyone feels appreciated and motivated. As I move forward in my career, I’m committed to fostering this mindset—because when we lead with gratitude, we all grow together.

"Hey 'Rock-Star 👩🎤' we get it, your commute stinks, the work/life balance isn't balancing, and you're having to do the work of three people... 👨💼 👩💼 👨💼" "🍕Here's some pizza🍕" "We hope the gooey cheese fills in the cracks in your heart 💔 " We love pizza as much as the next company, but we also know pizza doesn't solve culture problems - empathy, training, support, real change - these solve culture problems. #culturematters #careerdevelopment #leadership #federalcontracting #clearedprofessionals #change

"Every few weeks, I feel like I need to re-learn how to live" Our everyday busy lives, it’s really easy to forget basics - like getting some sun, moving around & staying in touch with the people who matter the most to us. Yet, we are so wrapped up in our daily jobs that we forget how important it is to take care - of ourselves and our near and dear ones! But honestly, best work comes from balance. Wearing something that feels good, eating well & just disconnecting from tech for a bit - they aren’t just some extras; they’re what keep us going. It doesn’t mean we should forget our goals, but we should accept that somedays, "we’re just human," & other most days, we should be "we’re Humans". It’s about letting go when we need to, and knowing that, at the end of the day, nothing is truly impossible for us. Our aim for growth & leadership, we'll need to make sure there’s still space in our lives for us. Because isn’t true leadership more than just what we achieve at work?

I support organizations and teams to work less and get more done. Internationally acclaimed expert on the shorter workweek. Designer and pioneer of four-day week pilot programs and research projects all over the world.
Time is the most precious resource we have as humans, and it is finite and non-renewable. ⌛️ The experience of the pandemic brought home for many of us the things that really matter. Family. Community. Health. Travel. Personal Growth. 💛 That's why offering your people the gift of time by piloting a reduced-hour work model is an incredibly powerful collective incentive for work redesign and innovation. 📣 This is the intangible force at play which has driven productivity improvements in so many of the organizations I have worked with to adopt shorter work weeks. 📈 This hypothesis has been tested in trials at hundreds of organizations involving tens of thousands of employees and the evidence continues to stack up. 🧾 It develops cultures that have the right balance between people having high levels of autonomy and empowerment for their work, as well as high levels of accountability and ownership for their performance. ⚖️ It provides a catalyst for creativity and an engine for change. Many leaders I have worked with talk about how they would never have had the buy-in and motivation to drive the kind of positive change they have managed to execute without the shorter work week. 💡 Starting this conversation requires courage, and seeing it through takes the bravery to see obstacles as opportunities. 🌱
