In 2017, we observed a trend: increasingly, brilliant young people about to embark on their university journey struggled to choose the right course of study. We decided to shift the question from "What course do you want to study?" to "What is your purpose and what impact do you want to have on the world?" The answer to the second question became known as an Impact Statement. We also started with ourselves; all staff members developed their Impact Statements too. Seven years later, we have produced thousands of purpose-driven leaders who are shaping the future around the world. Developing purpose is a slow process and our journey is still at its beginning, but yesterday was a milestone when we launched the #DrivenByPurpose campaign. Here’s what I learned from this video. In our efforts to be more sustainable, we often focus on maintaining the status quo. But what if we could take it a step further? What if our conversations could not only sustain but regenerate and revitalize? Regenerative conversations go beyond sustainability. They aim to improve and restore, contributing positively to environments, communities, and systems. This approach isn’t just about doing no harm—it’s about creating value and fostering growth that wasn’t there before. Let’s challenge ourselves to transform our interactions.
