Yesterday, applications opened for the second phase of the early entitlement expansion which will offer 15-hours of government-funded early education to eligible children aged nine-months onwards from September 2024. Commenting, Neil Leitch CEO of the Early Years Alliance said: "As applications for the second phase of the early entitlement expansion open, we remain entirely unconvinced that the government will be able to keep the huge promise it has made to parents. “While the first phase largely involved families who were already accessing early years places switching from private to government-funded places, the next phase is set to place further – and far more severe – capacity challenges on the sector, with the government itself predicting that 15,000 places will be needed by this September alone, and a further 70,000 by the end of the rollout. “With the recent National Audit Office report raising serious concerns about future phases of the expansion, and the Department for Education itself describing delivering enough places to meet demand as ‘problematic’, it’s clear that significant challenges lay ahead for government. “Yet, should this really come as a surprise? Long before the expansion rollout began, the early years sector was suffering from the effects of years of severe underfunding and an acute staffing crisis, both of which – so far – have failed to be adequately addressed. “So, rather than pretending that today’s application launch is a cause for celebration, ministers should acknowledge the scale of the challenge ahead of them and take the action needed to safeguard the future of the sector – that is, adequate funding and a comprehensive workforce strategy. Only then can this policy have any hope of succeeding in the long term.” https://lnkd.in/eHiP2g-K

ARRS Funding Woes: One GP, One Day a Week, and a Whole Lot of Community Care Dreams So, we’ve been allocated funding for the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS) to support our PCN. But hold on to your stethoscopes, folks—it’s only enough to fund one GP for one day a week! 🩺 One day?! That’s barely enough time to find out where the tea is, let alone solve complex community care challenges. Apparently, we’ll be revolutionising healthcare in our community, addressing the social determinants of health, and reducing hospital admissions all in a neat little 9-hour shift. Simple, right? 🙄 Honestly, at this rate, my coffee budget is looking healthier than the ARRS allocation. How on earth are we supposed to tackle the bigger picture when the funding barely covers the frame? Is anyone else out there trying to stretch this funding or are we all just putting in bids for the next Olympics in multitasking?

Navigating your NDIS plan can be overwhelming, but understanding the three main funding types can make it easier: 🔹 Core supports: These are essential for your daily life and cover things like personal care, household tasks, and community participation. 🔹 Capital supports: This funding is for more significant, one-time investments and includes things like assistive technology and modifications to your home or vehicle. 🔹 Capacity-building supports: These supports are all about helping you build skills and independence. They may include training, therapy, or support to help you achieve your personal goals. 📲 Stay tuned and follow us for more tips and explanations about the NDIS and plan management! #NDISSupportCategories #SupportCoordination #PlanManagement

As many of you know, Denver Health will be asking voters to approve a nominal .34% sales tax increase in November – that’s only 3.4 cents for every $10. The initiative is called Healing Denver. Polling has been extremely favorable, as has the response from every call I make, every meeting I attend, every event where I speak. This is what I hear every day: I had no idea that Denver Health provides free counseling and medical services to DPS students! I had no idea that Denver Health trains paramedics and oversees all the ambulances for the city and county of Denver! I had no idea that Denver Health has 1.3 million patient visits. I had no idea that… In the nearly two years since I’ve been the CEO of Denver Health, I have seen firsthand the impact that Denver Health makes on our patients, their families, and our community. But we have a funding challenge: while other safety net hospitals around the country receive an average of 11% of their budget from their local municipalities, Denver only funds approximately 2% of our budget, despite our role in dealing with many significant issues in our community--from homelessness to behavioral health to caring for over 16,000 DPS students. Telling the story of Denver Health will require robust educational efforts, marketing/media support and a dedicated campaign team to manage all the critical components. We have raised significant money but could use your help. You can contribute to Healing Denver, either online at HealingDenver.org, or by check made out to “Healing Denver” and mailed to 300 Center Drive, Suite G #362, Superior, CO 80027. Please know that this is a very personal ask since Colorado law prohibits the use of any Denver Health money, time or resources in support of the campaign. May I count on you to support Denver Health via the Healing Denver campaign? And may I count on you to share this post with your network? Please help us to secure a more sustainable source of funding for Denver Health. We all benefit from a healthier community. #healingdenver #denver #healthierdenver #denvercommunity

When our assessment team concludes a Free Home Safety Assessment, the most frequently asked question is “How am I going to pay for these things?” Healthcare is an extremely expensive process, from hospital and rehab stays, to paying for private nursing care. Our team invests time every week to search for available funding programs for our clients. Educating our clients on such programs is one of our greatest passions, and today we will discuss these choices. We help busy healthcare professionals sell their homes for the highest price and find homes that reflect their hard work with flexible scheduling so that they can avoid stress and enjoy their success
Navigating life's toughest challenges, the heroes at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) provide a beacon of hope to families in need. Their strength and resilience resonate deeply with us, especially as we work with the same heroes outside the hospital walls - healthcare workers. Our real estate team has committed to a mission that extends beyond property lines: we aim to raise $50,000 for CHOA. Here’s why: 👨⚕️ Every day, healthcare workers make life-saving decisions. Yet, when it comes to buying or selling a home, they face their own challenges. We’ve made it our goal to simplify their real estate journey, working around their demanding schedules and specific needs. 🏠 But our service commitment goes further. For every home we sell, a portion of our income goes to CHOA. Why? Because we've seen firsthand how CHOA changes lives. Just as a home is more than walls and a roof, healthcare is more than treatment - it's hope, love, and care. 💡Here’s how our unique approach is making a difference: - We guarantee the sale of a home at an agreed-upon price, or we buy it. - We ensure 100% satisfaction for buyers, offering to buy back or sell the home for free if they're not completely happy. - We prioritize the community, dedicating a part of our profit to CHOA to assist children battling illnesses. By choosing our services, clients aren’t just making real estate decisions; they’re joining a cause. This partnership has been heartwarming and absolutely transformational, both for the families who need CHOA’s care and for healthcare workers who dedicate their lives to serving others. Here’s a question to connect our hearts with our work: How do you integrate community support into your business model? #RealEstate #CommunitySupport #CHOA #HealthcareHeroes #AtlantaHomes
