⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “I’ve gone to People Legal for advice on a couple of different occasions and have always had incredible support and service - you really couldn’t ask for a better team to help!” Although we have a large number of business clients who come back to us regularly for advice, the same isn’t true about individual clients. They tend to come to us about one particular issue in their workplace and we either help them resolve it or help them move on to pastures new. We hope that they don’t face the same issue in the future and are comforted when we never hear from them (apart from receiving Christmas cards!) So, when we do have repeating individual clients, it's great to know that they feel as though they can trust us to work with them again and that we’ll do our upmost to resolve the issue that they are facing. If you want to know more about our services, visit our website https://people.legal/ or email hello@people.legal to arrange a chat with a team member.

Are you finding it hard to find the time to organise Christmas gifts for your clients? Finding a gift within your budget, inputting all the delivery details, and placing the orders in plenty of time for delivery can be such a headache, but not for my clients. This week I will be ordering their Christmas gifts and arranging for them to be shipped nationally and internationally, so that they can arrive in plenty of time for Christmas. 🎄 🎁 I can even write Christmas cards and address envelopes, put the stamps on, and drop to the post box for you. 📮 So if this is one of those tasks that you’d like to outsource, let me know, I have some time available to support some busy business owners in the next couple of weeks. 📧 emma@larkspurbusinessservices.co.uk

Enjoy Christmas Eve Eve, afternoon of doing Christmas tags and bookmarks. What’s a bookmark? In times gone by they’re were used to mark where you had read to in a book. It seems books, like vinyl are alive and well. Rather than send a trillion Christmas cards I’m sending painted bookmarks out in January. Each has a voice note on the reverse so highly personalised and bespoke. The value of doing this? Well no one sends news years cards for a start so my simple bookmark will stand out. None of these will generate business directly but they will start conversations that will spark some revenue I am sure. It’s not what you say that counts it’s how you are remembered. No point giving advice about how to connect, message or follow up this method is all three rolled into one. Have some spare if you want one? 🔹Lumpy male sending not so lumpy mail 🔹DM specialist, Door Matting 🔹Keep it Live in ‘25

"Carmen, my son called and asked if I had the questions ready. He was excited to do it again this year!" - client A couple of years ago I shared a family tradition with my clients that I thought they might want to incorporate into their holiday gathering. It was fun to hear the feedback. One client shared her plan, but also reservations as to how her grown son and wife might respond. She decided to do it anyway. The result, "Mom, thank you! We loved this activity! Can we make it an annual tradition?" What is the activity? It is simple! Just type up or write out some questions and cut them into strips. Put the questions in a gift bag. Before a person opens their gift, they draw a question and answer it. Some of the questions we have used in the past are noted below. ⬇️ These are just suggestions. Make it your own and adjust the activity to suit your family and time of gathering! Most of all, enjoy the conversation and time of connection! What is one thing you are most proud of from this year? What do you wish someone would invent? What does a great day look like to you? What are you most looking forward to in the new year? What was a learning moment for you this year? What did you enjoy doing just for fun as a child? What is your superpower? Who do you most relate to in the Christmas story and why? How do you want people to feel when they are with you? When people talk about your legacy, what do you want them to say? What character traits have you inherited from someone in your family? What is something you want to get better at? What refuels or refreshes you? What do you want to spend more time doing in 2025? What is one thing you want to say to a family member or friend that will encourage them? What is your most fun or embarrassing moment from 2024?

IYKYK Not to throw shade, but to celebrate what we have created. Today, a VA from my agency reached out to share something that hit me like a ton of bricks. He said: "Because of this opportunity, I won't have to worry about having nothing for Christmas. I can now afford more than just one whole chicken for the whole family. We don’t have to work triple shifts the night before Christmas just to afford a bottle of Coke." Let that sink in. This is the reality for so many people—living with the weight of just getting by, sacrificing time, dignity, and even family moments. But here’s the flip side: This is why I do what I do. We give VAs the opportunity to not just survive but to live an actual life. We connect clients with rockstar VAs who show up with dedication, drive and actual results. It’s more than outsourcing or filling a role—it’s about changing lives, one VA, one client, one opportunity at a time. This holiday season, I’m reminded that the impact we make can go far beyond deadlines and deliverables. It can mean a Christmas that feels like Christmas for someone who hasn’t had that in years. Let’s keep building businesses and partnerships that matter. Because every opportunity we create has the power to change lives.

What do you want as a employee/customer/supplier for Christmas? My company spends a small fortune on dinners/hampers/drinks/presents/Christmas party. We try (it’s very difficult) to organise dinners or lunches with our best/biggest customers and suppliers. Talk about the scars we have from the year that’s past and what’s in the pipeline for next year. We send Christmas hampers with drinks and assorted rubbish to customers, this year we did around 60. Sorry if any of my customers are reading and didn’t get one. Presents and gifts to all Starbuck staff and a Christmas party. As a group we got somewhere around 50 bottles of alcohol and so much other stuff bought to the office (mostly given to the staff) and I was invited to a lunch or dinner most days in December. The question is; Do you want gifts from a client/supplier? Do you want gifts from your boss? Or is it more about the symbol of being appreciated and valued? *^ My favourite gift of the year actually came from my number one accounts girl. I’m going to get more made for next year
