🌟🎉 Our recent company picnic at Lazy 5 Ranch was an unforgettable adventure! We enjoyed feeding the animals, surrounded by over 600 fascinating creatures from 6 continents. 🦒🐷🦘 The ranch's petting areas, playground, and picnic spots added to the fun as we bonded with fellow employees, took close-up animal rides, and savored dynamite food. 🎶🍔 Cheers to a day filled with laughter, music, and fun memories! 🎊🐾 #CompanyPicnic #TeamBonding

🗣️ Under strenghts you've put "woofing at dogs". 🗣️ Under weakness you've put "woofing at every animal at the zoo" This was part of my appraisal for my little lad over the weekend you see. We took the little lad on his first trip to the Zoo over the weekend which was eye-opening for a number of reasons. #1 Turns out that admission to any zoo is not predicated on the assurance that all the animals will be on show. Safe to say my wife was not best pleased when I convinced her to trek to the further part of the park to see the Lions only to find out they didn't work Saturdays 🥵 #2 Our little lad is growing with both sets of grandparents having dogs. Meaning that his second word was "woof" (first word was bubble... not sure why) as he would spend days on end woofing at the dogs upon every visit 🐕 Pretty smart right? I thought so too. Until we took that same woofing toddler to the Zoo. Where he proceeded to woof at every animal - Rhino 🦏, Butterfly 🦋, Flamingo 🦩, Giraffe 🦒 - you name it, woof. Here he is hiding from the Flamingos. Just crouch down Fred, they won't see you woofing from down there. When should I be concerned that my toddler doesn't know the difference between a cockapoo & a Flamingos? #recruitmentstartup #recruitmentinvestment #recruitmentbusinesssupport #recruitmentbusinesssetup #businesstips #recruitmentstartuptips

"Can you be as stoic as a capybara?" Hi, it's me - your friendly neighborhood anxious catastrophizer/recovering perfectionist. 👋 What I continue to learn is that being calm isn't about being apathetic or ignoring stressor and threats. It's about being able to regulate the emotional response of stress, panic, anxiety, etc. that wants to bubble up when we are challenged or triggered. Instead, we learn to respond from a space of groundedness. Breathwork, meditation, yoga, journaling, and even lifting heavy things are just a few ways that we can cultivate this cool capybara skill.
Capybaras might just be the most stoic animals on the planet! Known for their calm and laid-back nature, they can remain completely unbothered even when a curious goat tries to butt heads with them. These gentle giants are the largest rodents in the world and spend a lot of their time relaxing near water, staying cool and collected no matter what comes their way. Their chill demeanor has earned them a reputation for being the ultimate zen creatures of the animal kingdom. Can you be as stoic as a capybara? 🤗

If you have a dog that resides outside the house, it’s important to ensure that they are safe and comfortable. Make sure it has access to shade. You can use a doghouse, a tarp, or a shade sail to provide shade. Spend time with your dog every day, even if it’s just for a few minutes. Dogs are social animals and need human interaction to stay happy. I hope these tips help you take care of your dog.

“I see myself as having the qualities of a squirrel” 🐿️ It’s amazing what you can find out with a simple ask. It’s something I like to do when there are new faces in a meeting. “As you introduce yourself, please share with us what your favourite animal is.” Some picked what they could see - Woodland Pigeon 🐦 Some said an animal that represents them - Squirrel 🐿️ Some said an animal that inspires them - Bison 🦬 Others mentioned their loving pets - Cocker Spaniel 🐶 It created a connection between individuals, beyond the transactional project discussions. “Oh yes, I’d change mine to that” or “interesting, why a squirrel” It was really quite fun seeing the match up between person and animal. Some of the biggest characters picked the smallest creatures 😄 My advice is to take a couple of minutes to get to know the people you are working with on a human level. Favourite animal, food, city etc. It’s really easy, just keep it simple. It changes the dynamic of the space and can create links you never knew existed. #connectingpeople #workshopfacilitation #meetings

When Skip was adopted six months ago, he was a bundle of energy, barking and lunging at other dogs and small animals like squirrels. He would pull his owners everywhere, making walks both embarrassing and unmanageable. But after a few training sessions with CJ, the transformation was incredible. Now, on walks through the neighborhood, Skip gets all the attention for being such a well-behaved dog. He’s gone from being infamous to famous for being such a good boy! Which Animal Represents Your Team Best? If you were going to pick a model from nature for how to create and operate as a great team, which animal would you pick? How about lions, tigers, hippos or bears? Those species are known to eat their young, or the new guy or gal on the team, in our analogy. That doesn’t make for good team building! How about wolves or hyenas? These animals are known to constantly have ego fights for dominance—definitely not good for trust and the morale of a team. Eagles are good role models for soaring to individual heights, but they are poor team players. They are known to be territorial, pretty hostile toward one another and constantly stealing prey from one another. So what's the answer, read my blog below to find out. And if you want to learn how to create a Game Changing Team why not join me for my new Masterclass next week.
