Lina Yang from our Human Resources department and Autumn Gunsley from our Loan Operations department recently volunteered for the Real Money World budget simulation at Riverbend Middle School. This program enables students to step into young adult roles, making spending decisions based on assigned jobs, salaries, and family situations. Lina enjoyed observing the students grasping the challenges of financial management, while Autumn noted students prioritizing essentials like housing over luxuries. Both were impressed by how the program seemed to leave a big impact on the students. 🌟💰 #FinancialLiteracy

The fiscal challenge confronting Flint Community Schools requires swift and resolute action. With a looming operational deficit in the next fiscal year and the imminent depletion of ESSER funds, we're on the verge of a financial crisis.
