Recently, I finished reading the great book “Not the End of the World” by Dr. Hannah Ritchie. Here's what I learned on how we can maximize our impact as individuals: 🗳️ Vote for the leaders that align with your beliefs. Because policies are far-reaching. 🛒 Purchase products that promote environmental-friendly technologies. Contribute to growing the markets for these goods and leave others behind. 👩💼 Spend your time wisely. We spend many hours at jobs in companies, so pick a career in a company that amplifies your impact. While I recognize that many don’t have much choice, there is no excuse for the ones we do have. Let's continue learning every day about sustainability. #environmental #sustainability #earthday

Are you delaying your shift into sustainability? Want a simple process to help get you unstuck? You want to make an impact, you recognise the urgency of action. All around you are people coming together to ‘do their bit’ but something is holding you back. That thing is most likely to be rooted in FEAR. Fear of change. Fear of rejection. Fear of failure. Fear of being ‘found out’ as an imposter. Even simple fear of losing your financial security. Fear tends to warp our thinking, causing us to… 😱 Exaggerate the potential negative consequences of taking action. 😱 Understate the potential positive results of taking action. 😱 Ignore the costs of inaction. Not going to lie, change is can be scary. Especially when it is “Big Stuff” like jobs and careers. However, it is the fear of the unknown which is the most fundamental blocker to human action. And that can be addressed, systematically and deliberately. In a manner that will leave you feeling liberated and in control of your direction.
