Be deliberate: Take time upfront rather than rushing blindly into action. Prioritize quality over speed: Fast doesn’t always mean efficient. Take the time to get it right. Keep refining: The more you smooth out your processes, the faster they will become in the long run.

Fellow Engineers Focused Action Trumps Thinking! -The ultimate Engineer controls their emotions - I personally don't have time to feel bad! - We don’t have time, we make time - Success comes down to taking action rather than “thinking” of the best move - Stick to one skill - there is no “best skill” - Focus on progress rather than perfection - It’s impossible to NOT succeed if you follow the steps every single day Action steps: 🎯Make time to apply what you’ve learned 🎯Work every single day 🎯Action, Action, Action every single day. #RoadsHub #engineeringexcellence

A successful pit stop only lasts a few seconds but getting there require hours of teamwork, practice, and analysis in order to make those seemingly effortless seconds a reality. Here's the secret: a fast pit stop is actually the culmination of dozens of incremental steps, each meticulously planned and practiced. It's a symphony of mechanics, engineers, and leadership working in perfect harmony. Teamwork is the Engine: Every member of the pit crew has a specific role, and they need to anticipate each other's movements like a well-oiled machine. The goal is for each step to cascade so when you see me run around the car with a tire, the timing has to be perfect to make the exchange with the one that the tire changer is pulling off the car. Practice Makes Perfect: Not only do we practice the actual steps of running around the car and removing and installing the tire but even the small things like tire placement on the wall or the hand-off that you see from Derrick Carr to me in the second part of the video make a huge difference in a fast pit stop. Data Drives Decisions: Our race engineers like T Chris Andrews analyze past pit stops using video footage and timing data to break down each movement and step into seconds or fractions of a second which allows us to work on specific portions of a pit stop and cut tenths of a second in each section. This dedication to continuous improvement is a valuable lesson for any organization, whether you're competing on a race track or in the business world. No success happens overnight. It's the result of small, consistent efforts, collaboration, and a data-driven approach to bring gradual but continuous improvement. I've been fortunate to speak about kaizen and how the goal of continuous improvement on a race team can be related to various business but am always curious to see how other implement it. What are some ways you can bring the "fast pit stop" mentality to your team?

Race day insight; On the track today, we observed a driver braking early, causing issues further into the turn. This highlighted a crucial lesson: performing under the limit feels safe but slows down your learning. Pushing beyond the limit feels uncomfortable but is key to faster growth. As race engineers and elite performance coaches, we turn these observations into actionable insights. Embrace the discomfort to break your limits and accelerate your progress! #RaceEngineering #PerformanceCoaching #PushYourLimits #GrowthMindset #TrackTips

Job offer on exhaust pipe of vehicles? Needing top talent, but your competitors have them all on lock. What's a company to do? Volkswagen faced this exact challenge, needing 1,000 engineers but finding the market picked clean. How do you attract skilled engineers already employed by the competition? Think outside the box (or exhaust pipe, in this case!). Volkswagen sent vehicles in the name of servicing to competitor garages, with a secret twist. Coded messages scrawled on parts like exhaust pipes offered enticing job opportunities at Volkswagen. This unconventional recruitment strategy was a success! Volkswagen secured 1,000 engineers at a fraction of the usual cost. The Debate? Brilliant or Unethical? Was this a clever tactic or a sneaky poaching approach?
