Last week I celebrated 5 years working at Healthie, and I wasn't alone, there were several team members joining me in big milestone work anniversaries. To see Healthie listed as one of Built In's Best Places to work (in several categories!) is a testament to our company culture. Something others have asked me, and I've in turn asked myself, what exactly has kept me at Healthie for 5 years? 1. Flexibility & remote-first culture; I'm based in NYC where our HQ is and we're not mandated to come into the office. There's a good crew that do come in on the reg, because they like the camaraderie it provides. 2. Work-life balance; as a working mom there are never-ending calls from schools, sick days, no-school days, half-days... but I'm able to be present for my family. Our CEO always says, family comes first, and she means it because she's a working mom too. 3. No big egos; honestly, we're a really collaborative team from the top down. Everyone is heard, everyone is valued, and everyone is respectful. No one wants to work with a jerk. 4. We are financially stable; when choosing to work for a Startup, it's really important to feel confident in the financial stability of the company. At Healthie, we spend responsibly and plan meticulously. 5. We build technology that makes a difference; probably the number 1 thing that makes me feel fulfilled in my role, I love what we're building and know that it's directly changing the way healthcare is delivered. We are making a difference, and because of that, more people are able to get healthcare they deserve. Four-day week made permanent for most UK firms in world’s biggest trial Research shows 51% that took part permanently adopted the change, while 89% still operating policy one year on. More than half (55%) of project managers and CEOs said a four-day week – in which staff worked 100% of their output in 80% of their time – had a positive impact on their organisation, the report found. For 82% this included positive effects on staff wellbeing, 50% found it reduced staff turnover, while 32% said it improved job recruitment.
