Food is medicine. by David Russell. Most medicines are isolated extracts from plants and are labeled supplements, or medcines if the chemical compounds haver been synthesis in a laboratory. The whole idea that food is medicine becomes distorted with the inability to properly articulate the concept to the masses. To tamper with something as valuable as food production destroys the natural concept and a vital resource we have for the human body. nu·tri·ent /ˈno͞otrēənt/ noun a substance that provides nourishment essential for growth and the maintenance of life. "fish is a source of many important nutrients, including protein, vitamins, and minerals" The concept that food actually heals the body maybe mising from that definition. The FDA, is the regulating body of the food industry, but they have allowed harmful processed, and other geneticly modifed foods into the food supply. The FDA is one of the first government entity that has sold out the American people.
