As the buzz around GenAI continues to grow, I find myself reflecting on how organizations worldwide are navigating this emerging terrain. It is evident that there's a universal rush to adopt GenAI, but it prompts me to question - are our organizations truly prepared for this leap? With unstructured data accounting for more than 85% of information in most organizations, have we effectively mapped and cataloged this data with appropriate access controls and retention? Do we find ourselves asking questions like, "Why is that information not relevant and up-to-date?" It's crucial to remember that the quality of output from any AI system is directly proportional to the quality of the input data. This leads me to another critical point - will our GenAI tools be able to effectively utilize our vast repositories of unstructured data, or will they be restricted to structured information? It's a question that needs careful consideration as we stride forward in our AI journey. #GenAI #DataManagement #AIAdoption
