The last words of the Papua New Guinean National Anthem echo the pride felt in every challenge our country faces. 🇵🇬🇵🇬 "GOD BLESS 🙏 PAPUA NEW GUINEA" - these words resonate deeply within me. Blessed with rich land, lush vegetation, and abundant resources, we stand resilient through adversity. In 2019, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, I made a tough decision to resign, prioritizing the safety of my family and community. By staying home, we not only protected ourselves but also supported the government's efforts in controlling the virus. (As my job involved travelling into ports frequently). Looking forward to 2023 and 2024, I dedicated time to enhance my financial knowledge through online programs, ensuring stability for my family in uncertain times.(The economy crisis story of today's paper). Personal growth and resilience are vital in navigating crises effectively. I share my journey hoping to inspire fellow Papua New Guineans to reflect on their roles as responsible citizens. Amid challenges, it's crucial to ask, "How can I contribute within my means to support our country?" Let's take proactive steps in our communities to create a positive impact benefiting the nation. Together, let's empower ourselves to drive change. What positive actions can you take today to foster Papua New Guinea's progress? 🇵🇬 #PapuaNewGuinea #Resilience #CommunityImpact #PositiveChange

A CALL TO ACTION REALIZING PAPUA NEW GUINEA ’s GOD-GIVEN DESTINY 🇵🇬 When our Creator formed the heavens and the earth, He endowed every individual in Papua New Guinea with the ability to shape the destiny of this nation. From politicians to bureaucrats, from public and private sectors to NGOs, each of us carries the responsibility to contribute to the success of our families, communities, and country. Yet, despite the abundant blessings God has bestowed upon our land, we have witnessed a troubling reality. A small group of individuals has chosen to squander the wealth of our nation, enriching themselves at the expense of the people. The gap between the rich and the poor continues to widen, with many suffering while the fortunate few grow wealthier. This is not the future God envisioned for Papua New Guinea. Our destiny is not tied to foreign lands but firmly rooted in the soil of our own nation. The resources, opportunities, and blessings we need to prosper are already here within our reach. What we lack is not the means but the mindset. A CHANGE of MINDSET To unlock our nation’s full potential, we must transform how we think and act. It begins with a renewed commitment to transparency, accountability, and hard work. We must embrace the belief that the wealth of our land its natural resources, its culture, and its people exists for the benefit of all, not just a privileged few. Our Creator has given us the tools to build a prosperous, beautiful Papua New Guinea. Let us reject greed and corruption and replace them with integrity and selflessness. Let us work together to cultivate our land, manage our resources wisely, and create opportunities for all. OUR NATION, OUR FUTURE Papua New Guinea’s destiny is ours to shape. It is time to rise as a people united by purpose, guided by faith, and driven by a shared vision for a better future. Let us honor the responsibility God has placed in our hearts and minds. Together, we can build a nation that reflects the fullness of its potential—a land where every citizen has the chance to thrive and where our collective prosperity becomes a testament to our Creator’s blessings. The future of Papua New Guinea is in our hands. Let us rise to the challenge.🤝🇵🇬🙏🌿💡 Share it! #papuanewguinea #God #place #destiny #in #mindset #Individual #success #prosperity

Papua New Guinea is known by many names. Some call it the “Land of the Unexpected” because of its surprises—both good and bad. Others focus on the negative, calling it “the most corrupt country.” Then there are those who marvel at its richness, labeling it “an island floating on a sea of oil” or celebrating its diversity as the “country with the most languages” and the “second-largest biodiversity hotspot in the world.” But here’s the truth: what we choose to focus on shapes how we see this country, and ultimately, it shapes our reality. If you see Papua New Guinea as a place of beauty and opportunity, that’s what it becomes for you. You’ll notice the towering mountains, the rivers that cut through ancient rainforests, the culture that connects us to our ancestors, and the people who strive every day to build better lives for their families. You’ll see the potential for change, innovation, and leadership on a global scale. But if you choose to see only the corruption, the poverty, or the struggles, then that becomes your reality too. You’ll see failure in every challenge and futility in every effort. You’ll become blind to the resilience and strength of the people who refuse to give up. The thing is, Papua New Guinea doesn’t change. It’s still the same land, with the same people and the same resources. The difference is how you see it—and how that perception drives your actions. If we believe in the potential of this country, we can be part of the change it needs. We can support better leadership, push for development, and celebrate the diversity that makes PNG unique. But if we dwell on the negatives, we give up before we even start. In the end, Papua New Guinea is what we make of it. It’s up to us to choose whether we see it as a land of problems or a land of possibilities. That choice is ours, and it shapes not just our perspective but the future of the country itself. #PNGEmMiYah #AlignPerception

Happy 49th Independence Day, Papua New Guinea!🇵🇬 As we celebrate this day, it's impossible to ignore the many challenges we face as a nation. Inflation is driving up the cost of living, making it harder for families to get by. Our economy is struggling, jobs are scarce, and infrastructure is falling behind. Political instability and corruption continue to undermine our progress, and many of our communities still lack access to basic services like healthcare, education, and reliable power. It’s a tough reality, and the future feels uncertain. But through it all, we remain hopeful. We’ve weathered storms before, and the strength of our people has always been our greatest asset. Let’s keep pushing forward, believing that together, we can build a better and more prosperous future for our country. Happy Independence, Papua New Guinea. Despite the challenges, may hope guide us toward brighter days, and may it filled with peace, prosperity, and progress. 🙏🏼🎉🇵🇬🫡 #16September #49thIndependence #PapuaNewGuinea🇵🇬

We have two groups of people from outside coming into the Capital City of Papua New Guinea, Port Moresby. The first group are those aimless and hopeless people, they have no visions and plans, searching free handouts, these same people are the ones drinking fire wara every day, disturbing the entire surroundings with loud musics, they can shout and openly swearing, they can intimate anyone on the public streets, stealing and pocket picking, and list of illicit activities on and on. When you carefully understand them, you'll come to realize that this group of people are coming from disadvantage background, that they were forced to leave their home province, may be due to tribal fight or related issues. Government needs to identify this group of people and send them back home. All airports must closely monitored and making sure they must not return. The second group of people in the Capital City of Papau New Guinea, are those people with good moral conduct, they are busy with their daily activities. They busy with their table market or selling cold water along the roadsides, in whatever ways, they keep busy making money everyday. They don't involve in any sort of illegal activities. When you look at them closely, they are motivated by their visions and dreams to be successful in life. Hence, they left their home province to look for opportunities in the city. Government need to identify this group of People and provide assistance where they can able to enhance their purpose in life. The Capital City of Papua New Guinea should be a safe city for everyone. Government need to take some strategic measures and implementations.

Late Michael Somare’s Vision for Papua New Guinea Michael Thomas Somare, the first Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, made an important statement about the future of his country. He said that Papua New Guinea is rich in resources and has many skilled professionals, including doctors, accountants, engineers, and others. This statement was made before the country gained independence from Australia. Somare believed that these professionals would play a key role in building a strong and successful nation. Somare’s words showed his confidence in the people of Papua New Guinea. He understood that having a variety of skilled workers is essential for development. Doctors help keep people healthy, accountants manage finances, and engineers build infrastructure like roads and bridges. By recognizing the importance of these professions, Somare inspired many young people to pursue education and training in their chosen fields. Today, we can see the impact of Somare’s vision on Papua New Guinea. His belief in the potential of his country’s human resources continues to motivate leaders and citizens alike. As more people enter various professions, they contribute to the growth and progress of the nation. Somare’s legacy reminds us that investing in education and professional skills is vital for a brighter future for all Papua New Guineans. 😪 💯 🙏

As a foreign worker who has been based in Myanmar since January 2016, I have nothing but the greatest admiration of how “resilient” the Myanmar people are. Through the challenges of “leapfrogging” and how this could have been very challenging to every generation in the country, to a global pandemic that has caused massive negative disruption to every single individual on the globe, to a “sociopoliconomic” crisis that has caused job loses, massive inflation, wealth gap, brain drain, and insecurity - I have only the highest esteem of how Myanmar people can cope, adjust, and manoeuvre themselves to adapt to the most disturbing of uncertainties. As we continue to strengthen our resolve during these volatile times, we acknowledge this resilience not for how it is in the face of challenges but as to how innate it is to a people that have endured so much. Resilience, in the Myanmar context, is not just about surviving. It is thriving in the face of adversity. To all of us who continue to show defiance to all the challenges that come our way - know that not only are we together in this but what we are enduring are nothing to a brighter future ahead for us all.
