Big news, friends - our first full-time hire is coming on board next week. Here's how we approached this unconventional hiring process: 1. Lightning fast - Pinged him in the morning, had dinner together the same day 2. Vision alignment - Prioritize someone who truly gets what we're trying to achieve 3. Culture first - Focus on cultural fit before diving into skills 4. Genuine connection - Our dinner talk? LinkedIn, creators, family, and cricket - not the role 5. Ego at the door - Approached the conversation with humility and openness 6. Authenticity wins - Being easily approachable and open to real discussions The result? We found someone who feels like they've been part of our journey all along. I can't wait to see what we'll achieve together. Keep an eye on this space – I'll be sharing more about our new team member and our exciting plans soon. P.S. What's your best tip for welcoming a new hire?

Teams and C levels inside the best companies in the world, are currently looking, scouring for the best talent in the world, furiously. We have our pulse on the beating heart of this global market. “Christie, no one is hiring, everyone I know is looking”. This is not actually what’s going on. What’s happening: those very hiring teams are walking around upset and completely underwhelmed by the applicants. They’re hiring but they are looking past, the applicants who are saying “no one is hiring”. If you’re not getting calls back and your seeking to land on an incredible global team — Consiglieré will work with you and change your life. I have one spot open, for June/July. We advise and teach C suite teams on the Art of attracting the global talent they are seeking. We are and always have been a Retained Firm. We don’t work for free. Our expertise is ahead of our global creative industry, not behind.

We are currently hiring for our 4th Full-Time Employee. Its all happened so fast, and it makes me realise that we could've done it much sooner with some help. Here are a few things I would tell myself to speed things up: 1. Niche down > We were selling everything > We painted houses > We Sold shoes > We Sold cars We would've saved so much time and money if we picked one specific service for one specific industry. This leads me onto the next point 2. Find something scalable > You create a repeatable process. > Use the power of the internet for scalability. > You provide a specific result for a specific audience. > Your life becomes much easier once you scale operations. 3. You don't make money you take money > The only way you scale is by closing more deals. > Service businesses require you to take money from other people. > So find more people who you can add value to in exchange for money. To scale you need to increase volume, its that simple. Thoughts?

1 year ago this week, I got laid off. I went to bed the night before absolutely certain I was getting laid off the next day, and told my husband. Sure enough, by 9AM I had "the meeting" on my calendar. My summer was spent applying, interviewing, and doing a lot of stress baking. But I also took the time to make sure I picked the right next step for me. One of the most important things for me was a company who had a target customer that I had emotional resonance with. I lucked out: I found a fantastic company with a great team. I'm not posting this as one of those self-promoting posts that are all too common on LinkedIn these days – I'm sharing because Collective is hiring for a lot of roles right now, with more to come. While we don't have a cute "ian" name for our team, we do have: - A remote-friendly workforce (even roles that are location-specific don't require daily office trips, unless you want that.) - Genuinely nice people to work with - A culture that values transparency, willing to try new things, and progress over perfection. Sound like a fit? Take a look at our open roles: https://lnkd.in/gnAYnBR4
