I am pleased to have been asked to talk on the 19th June about the UK's Natural Stone industry at the Royal Town Planners Conference at Prospero House, London. This annual conference is delivered jointly by the RTPI and the Mineral Products Association. A range of speakers will consider some of the key issues facing the minerals industry and minerals planning profession, and in turn what a new government should be aware of and help to address. The road to net zero will be a key issue and we feel an expanded use of UK natural stone should play an increased role, including the new stone bricks. #StoneBricks, #NetZero

AGGREGATES PROMINENCE🧑🏻💼🪨🇺🇸: The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) (NSSGA) President and CEO Michael W. Johnson, IOM has issued the following statement commending Rep. Nick Langworthy (R-NY-23) and Rep. Salud Carbajal (D-CA-24) for leading the creation of the bipartisan Congressional Aggregates Caucus. The Caucus serves as an informal, bipartisan group of House members that will provide an educational forum on industry challenges and policies affecting aggregates producers. "The creation of the Aggregates Caucus is a historical event for our industry, and we are grateful for the leadership of Rep. Nick Langworthy (R-NY-23) and Rep. Salud Carbajal (D-CA-24), who will be the co-chairs. The aggregates industry provides the essential materials to build our nation's infrastructure and connect our communities. With Congress set to consider critical legislation for our industry, from tax reform to surface transportation reauthorisation, the formation of this Caucus comes at an opportune time." Buying Undeveloped Land? Here’s the ONE mistake to avoid. Most investors overlook hidden value. This is why they lose out. But you don’t have to. You can spot potential where others see empty space. Here’s how to analyze undeveloped land effectively: • Location: Analyze nearby infrastructure. • Zoning: Check for legal constraints. • Topography: Look for natural challenges. • Market Trends: Assess future growth potential. • Access to Utilities: Determine the cost of development. • Environmental Impact: Evaluate any restrictions. • Development Costs: Estimate expenses accurately. • Resale Value: Predict the return on investment. You’re not just buying dirt. You’re investing in future possibilities. I’ve seen deals turn into goldmines by following these steps. What’s holding you back from finding your goldmine? Looking for High-ROI Undeveloped Land? Send me a message..let's explore your options

Fascinating to see demand for CORSIA Phase 1 Futures Contract going up - assuming this price spike is a reflection of the traditional dynamic between supply and demand. Currently, only two standards, ACR and ART, have received approval under CORSIA Phase 1 (2024-2026), yet the market sees only one batch of credits available: 7 million credits issued by ART to Guyana for its forest conservation efforts, out of which 1 million were already sold at a price of $20 per ton. Interestingly, this rate mirrors the last trading price for ICE's December 2024 futures contract. Despite facing criticism, REDD+ proves to be resilient. The approval of ART by CORSIA and the current premium prices compared to project-based REDD+ initiatives suggest a continued belief among buyers in the importance of preserving forests and natural habitats.

I support your comments James. the review should be about strengthening the ability for access and growth and reset the pendulum. common good and common decency, and common futures is the esssence, supported by tools and mechanisms, systems to keep greedy sharks a long long distance from the food source.
https://lnkd.in/gRDYT7HC I’m honoured to have advised and represented the majority of the Pilbara native title groups in the negotiations of the agreements mentioned in this article during the 2000’s. The intention of most of the negotiation parties was generally to ensure fair, inter-generational benefit to affected native title groups for the large-scale, long-term destructive mining on their country. All agreements need periodic review. Trustees’ performance and remuneration rates deserve special scrutiny. However opportunistic calls to “loosen up the trusts” should be treated with the same scepticism as the Morrison Government urging people to spend their superannuation during the COVID crisis.
