Getting ready to hire? Posting a compelling job description is important, but don't neglect networking. Put the word out across your professional connections that you're hiring. Medical practices also have a ready-made network of people in their geography. You could include Career page links in your reminder emails or post discreet signs in the office when you're hiring. Candidates deserve better treatment during the hiring process😡. I have a few friends and loved ones who are seeking new employment, and I’ve never heard of such stressful and dissapointing experiences. It's disheartening to hear about organizations stringing along candidates in such thoughtless and tasteless ways. If someone isn't a good fit, let them know. Don't give false hope and leave them waiting for days on end. It's not only stressful, but it also shows a lack of respect for their time and livelihood. Remember, candidates are also grading and judging you based on how you treat them during the hiring process. So, be better. Treat your candidates better. Follow-up. Don't lead them on. Be honest. If you're looking for top-notch candidates, I have some amazing ones for you! I'm reviewing resumes for a Senior Director of Client Services search, and about 80% of applicants don't indicate the size of teams they've managed. Quick reminder to always include this data point. Someone who has managed a team of 8 individual contributors is in a different bucket than someone with experience managing a global team of 100+ with multiple management layers. Bottom line: you want to find a company that's a good fit for your level of experience. Being significantly overqualified or underqualified for a position is a sure-fire way to set yourself up for failure. That's all, folks! #jobtips #jobsearch #resumetips
