Day 2 of answering some of the questions I get asked the most about being a SUN - Substance Use Navigator... Where do you refer patients to? The short answer is- a lot of places! And in some cases, very few. They include treatment centers, outpatient clinics, sober livings and more. It all depends on the patient's wants, needs and goals for long term sobriety. And most, if not ALL, of the places we refer patients to are accredited, licensed by the state, and are vetted by the lead SUN and our community outreach team. We want to make sure we can paint a clear picture of what their treatment experience will truly be like to ensure their safety and success.
