Our chair, Ruth Hinton, recently hosted a meeting with some of the agency-side supporters of our Working Well Together Charter. As with the similar meeting she hosted for client-side supporters a few weeks ago, there was lots of positivity and support for the aims of the Charter. Agency supporters explained some of the reasons why they want to be involved with the initiative, including ✅ Strengthening partnerships leads to more relevant and impactful insights, while also improving talent retention by creating a positive work environment ✅ Helping clients understand the unintended consequences of their behaviours can make them more aware and mindful of the potential impacts ✅ There is a need for some senior clients to embed good practices in their teams, and the initiative offers practical ways to improve agency-client relationships ✅ Respecting agencies' time, especially at the proposal stage, is crucial for maintaining motivation and improving collaboration, ultimately enhancing the quality of insight work. They also volunteered ways they can help drive awareness of this initiative, and keep it top of mind so it becomes something active and not just passively supported, for example ✅ Referring to it in their proposals and credentials decks, so it can provide a prompt for a conversation ✅ Introducing it when they start working with new clients and are establishing ways of working ✅ Using it as a framework to help give some structure to awkward conversations, when things are going wrong in a project or relationship ✅ Stepping up to give feedback and raise issues, albeit this may be uncomfortable at first, but beneficial in the long run. Finally, they offered ideas to help client and agency teams activate and embed the principles in their work together, and we are taking these on board for our next phase of this initiative. Have you signed up as a client-side or agency supporter yet? If not, you still can! It’s fantastic to see the AURA Insight Working Well Together Charter being so well supported by agencies, partners and friends. It’s heartening to see the charter grow from idea into a real way of working and particularly that those outside AURA are keen to offer support and suggestions on how the charter can be implemented across the wider industry. I know I’ve certainly been far more mindful of reducing the number of agencies I approach for response to tenders. It would be good to know how any other AURA members have used the charter in your organisations… #mrx #insight #research #collaboration #marketresearch #wellbeing

💪 💥 We are making CHANGE. It's incredible to be among this cohort of paradigm-shifting individuals shortlisted for the Media For All [MEFA] Diversity and Inclusion Awards in partnership with Campaign UK. Being nominated for an award this prestigious is always both thrilling and humbling. And yes, I would really love to win, of course I would! But the real win here is to see how much unbelievable trailblazing talent exists in our media and advertising community, and how when the doors are opened (broken down?!) how it contributes to innovation and fuels the lifeblood of our industry. Change keeps us relevant, alive, pioneering and winning. Sometimes it can be hard to visualise what change looks like: well here's a visual of high impact to bring it to life! And each individual's bio is worth a read, giving inspiration into the many different ways, wherever we come from and whoever we are, we can all MAKE CHANGE. Honestly, if I win amongst this crowd, I'll be gobsmacked because they are all WINNERS. I'm not feeling like an imposter here (honest! well, maybe a bit...) but I'm standing tall in the belief that the work I'm doing is making an impact. And, as I always say, the award is not the goal, it is the platform to do more. Huge congrats to: 💥 Sharon Lloyd Barnes, Commercial Director, Advertising Association 💥 Leyya Sattar, Founder, Other Box 💥 Elizabeth Anyaegbuna, Co-founder and CEO, 16x9media 💥 Dinah Williams, CEO, The Avenir Network 💥 Diksha Sonal, Global Insights Lead, DoubleVerify 💥 Chloe Davies, Founder and CEO, It Takes A Village Collective 💥 Ahmed Omer, Founder, Cultured Connections Community With a special shout out to the original CHANGEMAKERS who are leading this industry initiative Naren Patel and Nikki Sehgal and the whole team Media For All [MEFA] I can't wait to see you all at the awards event on Tuesday 19th November. #MEFA #MediaForAll #DiversityAndInclusion #Media #Advertising #Awards #diversity #consumerequality #changemaker #inclusion #representation Ogilvy UK Ogilvy Consulting

While I love what I do for a living, sometimes you have days where you feel the love much more than others. I had one of those very recently, when I caught up with an old client who reminded me of the impact I can deliver though my work. The client leads on employer brand at a global organisation. I designed and ran the insight generation process for the company, working across a combination of their priority geographies and role types. I then developed their EVP. The client took my insight and recommendations about what the brand could be, identified individuals whose stories she felt would really bring it to life, and used it all to update the company’s careers site. When we caught up recently, she was able to report a 20% uplift in traffic (higher than the corporate site enjoyed over the same period). She was also able to cite an increase in engagement from a diversity of audiences – one of the organisation’s key objectives. That chat reminded me of exactly why I do what I do – to deliver outputs that clients can use to create connections with the people they want to engage, attract and retain. If your organisation would like to see similar results, I’d be delighted to chat about how I might help. So do get in touch! #EVP #employerbrand #insight #talentattraction #engagement

Team Pulse: A Conversation That Matters In many companies, surveys like "Team Pulse" are just another task on the to-do list. You fill it out, share your thoughts, and that’s often the end of it. But what I truly love about Beiersdorf is that here, Team Pulse is so much more – it’s the start of meaningful conversations. 💬 This survey isn’t just about numbers or reports. It’s about how we feel as individuals, as a team, and as part of the organization.🤝 It dives into questions like: Do I feel empowered in my role? Do I see growth in my career? Do I love what I do? And most importantly, it's not just submitting questions; it’s about fostering open discussions and working collaboratively to find solutions that benefit both individuals and the team as a whole.🌟 What makes it truly special is that we don’t stop at collecting responses. We come together as a team to openly discuss these topics, share our thoughts, and genuinely listen to one another. These conversations help us grow not only as professionals but also as individuals who care about each other’s well-being. 💡💖 I feel so lucky to be part of a team where we can speak openly, listen with empathy, and grow together. It’s a space where everyone’s voice matters, and we inspire and uplift each other every day. 🌟 📸 Here’s a glimpse of my amazing team (with a few lovely faces missing from the picture). This is what I’d call an ideal team – a group of people who make work feel meaningful and fulfilling. 🌟 Here’s to teamwork, growth, and genuine connections! There are 3 important dates in the world of ELEVATE ⭐️ 16th October The day my business was registered as a limited company ⭐️ 6th January The day I launched the ELEVATE Membership ⭐️ 17th January The day I launched the How to Become a Strategic HR Partner course The first anniversary is rolling around swiftly, and honestly I can't quite believe it. Anniversaries and birthdays always get me reflecting on the year gone, and what a year it has been. ⭐️ 30 people have been on my course ⭐️ Over 70 people in the membership ⭐️ 34000 followers on LinkedIn ⭐️ Over 1000 people on the mailing list And we still have a few months before the end of the year! The last evening cohort for the year is wrapping up next week so my mind is wandering to what next. I'm going to try a couple of new things 1. Linkedin support - I'm going to offer a one month package where I will help you with all your Linkedin posts. Just £299 while I test it out with you. For anyone that wants to develop their personal brand and grow on Linkedin. Message me for info 2. Research, I need your help. I need some help with my services menu and price list for next year. I wrote it all out yesterday but would love some input from people I've never spoken to before that are interested in ELEVATE but haven't delved in yet. If that sounds like you and you can spare 20 minutes I'd love to hear from you. To anyone that has a dream to do something different I would really encourage you to start today. I'm not saying quit your job tomorrow. Just start putting things in place so maybe one day you'll be able to. Whether that's starting a course, working on your personal brand Or starting to do your new thing one day a week Do you know what, anything is possible. #ELEVATE

Very often, we talk about the Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) having in mind some “side activities” that reputable brands need to deliver as part of their corporate image. This is absolutely wrong! CSR lead the execution of the planning process of any business plan! By turning your social mission into a business priority you win public empathy, brand awareness and consumer engagement (but also a higher stakeholder interaction and engagement). People understand the social commitment of a brand better than the quality commitment of its producer. Put your CSR in front and deliver, while discussing with your public the necessary quality improvements that meet your customer expectations. Planning means to plan your social role, not your profits. #LIST4FREE LIMITED #The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales #Shelter #fightinghomelessness #Homewards
