Pet Age was honored to attend Bill Walton's keynote presentation at The Summit in January. He called himself "the luckiest man in the world," but it was those in attendance who were lucky ... to meet this amazing man. https://lnkd.in/e8UbdnyP

Everyone Meet our Star Pet Lilly! She is furbaby of Debra Baker with GrowthPlay. Here is he link to her profile on our Howl of Fame! https://lnkd.in/g6wcphEP Lilly embodies the three principles of Dog Treats as an Act of Service. Principle #1: She has a genuine desire to build authentic relationships with all the neighbors (who have dog treats). Principle #2: She is other-centered in her approach (for every treat, she is happy to sit, hug, lick or otherwise gaze at you with her big brown eyes). Principle #3: She is disciplined and intentional in her approach (she knows who, where ,and at what time her neighbors are open to treat giving). Her treat-oriented value system, generous approach, and relentless commitment to treat receiving make her a dog worthy of this recognition.

Champagne breakfast with members of The Wolfpack Men’s Community after our 10km run this morning 🏃🏼♂️🍾 Everyone in this mornings picture is finishing the year with a bang, important to celebrate success as one. From selling out art commissions that didn’t exist at the start of the year, to corporate promotions for outstanding performance in the last 1/4, to fully booked speaking & coaching engagements. What stood out to me is that hasn’t always been like that for us this year. There’s been hardships, tears, anger & extremely trying times personally & professionally. BUT, this is a group that have CONSISTENTLY shown up for eachother EVERY Saturday morning this year. Some men come when life is challenging, leave, come back, like yo-yo’s. The journey to SELF, AUTHENTIC SELF requires commitment & consistency. It has come as no surprise the trajectory of these men. ‘Overnight success’ stories. No. Showing up no matter what, trying, falling, being picked up by a brotherhood, going again. Resilience, robustness, clarity & drive has birthed through the support network of the group. A group that has no sympathy for victimhood. A group that kicks eachother in the ⚽️ to move from where you are now to where you want to be, not dwelling & feeling sorry for yourself. Commitment & consistency builds trust. Trust builds safety. Safety builds expression. Expression exposes potential. The Wolfpack Men’s Community will be a Mastermind group next year. Consolidating the group from what it was has made a huge difference to the trajectory of the lives of the men here over the last 3 months. Not everything has to be for the masses, no matter what society manipulates us to think. Yours in challenging conformity & inspiring change 🐺 #menshealth #mensmentalhealth #community Richard Day Asis Patel Garth Jones Oliver Gooch Simon Lockyer

Developing world-class teams that communicate and deliver outstanding results | The Leaders in Team Development
DO IT DIFFERENT – BE A ‘MAVERICK’. What greater legacy can there be, than to have your company name enter the English language? Hoover, Google, Biro, Chapstick, FedEx, Uber, Zoom It’s even greater when it’s your very own name. Samuel Augustus Maverick was a Texas lawyer, politician, land baron and signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence. His name is the source of the term "maverick," first cited in 1867, which means "independently minded." Maverick steadfastly refused to brand his cattle. As a result, the word maverick, slang for someone who exhibits a streak of stubborn independence, also entered the English lexicon as a term for an unbranded range animal. Maverick's stated reason for not branding his cattle was that he didn't want to inflict pain on them. He was the grandfather of Texas politician Maury Maverick, who coined the term gobbledygook. To all those other ‘Mavericks’ out there. Come help me build ‘Perfect Teams’ into the brand of choice for team development. “Creating world-class teams, that deliver outstanding results”. If you are genuinely interested, and want to know more, call the number ending in four. 020 8337 6804 #teams #character_trumps_personality #maverick Erika Harley Dave Mutton Rob Boll John Gellett Steve Jones FCMI Altaf Jasnaik Caroline Tuson Henry Gewanter, FCIB, FCIPR, FIDM, MCIM, FRSA

3moThe time Bill Walton spent after his speech at this event to take pictures and talk about basketball, his life, and his son was really something special! The message he preached about how he was so lucky despite being faced with a life of adversity was something that I will cherish. Literally sat and listened as he rested on a stack of three chairs and shared memories and thoughts on his illustrious career, notable achievements and some general life experiences. Amazing player and even a more amazing dude!
