Proverbs 11:24 NIV [24] One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. Proverbs 11:23-28 NKJV [23] The desire of the righteous is only good, But the expectation of the wicked is wrath. [24] There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty. [25] The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself. [26] The people will curse him who withholds grain, But blessing will be on the head of him who sells it. [27] He who earnestly seeks good finds favor, But trouble will come to him who seeks evil. [28] He who trusts in his riches will fall, But the righteous will flourish like foliage. Philippians 4:11-13 NKJV [11] Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: [12] I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. [13] I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. 🛐🛐🫂🛐🛐

GOD WANTS HIS MONEY TO BE USING TO HELP THE POOR, THE FOREIGNERS, THE FATHERLESS AND THE WIDOWS BUT THEY ARE NOT DOING IT Deuteronomy 14:29 NIV so that the Levites (who have no allotment or inheritance of their own) and the foreigners, the fatherless and the widows who live in your towns may come and eat and be satisfied, and so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands. A) Here are ten reasons why the Churches or Christians do not help foreigners, the fatherless, and the widows as commanded in the Bible 1. Lack of understanding. Some Christians may not fully understand the importance of helping those in need, and may not realize that their help could make a significant difference in someone's life. 2. Busyness. Many Christians are busy with their own lives and may not prioritize helping others as much as they should. 3. Poverty. Some Christians may be living in poverty themselves, or may not have the resources needed to help others. 4. Selfishness. Some Christians may be too focused on their own interests and personal gain, and may not see the importance of helping others. 5. Lack of trust. Some Christians may not trust that their help will be used in a way that will truly help those in need. 6. Unawareness. Some Christians may be unaware of the needs of those around them, and may not know how to find out what others need. 7. Fear of failure. Some Christians may be afraid that if they try to help others, they will fail, and may not want to face the potential embarrassment or disappointment of not being able to help. 8. Lack of faith. Some Christians may not believe that their help will make a difference, or may not have faith that God will honor their efforts

One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. Proverbs 11:24 NIV The basic biblical principle behind giving is to give generously and cheerfully as encouraged in this verse. The next verse says, "A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed." The person who gives freely receives even more. This is the principle of sowing and reaping. The person who sows a lot will reap a lot. The person who sows sparingly will reap sparingly. It's a simple principle drawn from agriculture. God loves a cheerful giver and often blesses people proportionately to what they give. Note that this refers to the percentage of what a person gives and not necessarily to the amount given. In Jesus's time, He observed that the rich gave a lot, but they gave out of the abundance of what they had. However, the woman with the two coins didn't have much, but she gave all that she had. That is the principle of generosity. Also as we give to others, others are inclined to pray and thank God for us, which leads to further blessing. They will also share with us as they remember our goodness to them. One of the best ways not to be dominated by the spirit of greed is to give generously. The second part of our verse shows that persons who fail to give will come to poverty. People who are perpetually selfish, who tend to hoard what they have are likely not to prosper. A believer should be a person with an open hand, which allows them to both give and receive, unlike the selfish person who has a clenched fist. Edison Bynoe

September 24, 2024. INSIGHT FOR TRIUMPHANT LIVING: * GREED IS PROOF OF LACK OF TRUST IN GOD; AS SUCH, WHEN AND WHERE THERE'S FIGHTING, ATLEAST ONE (OR MORE) GREEDY PERSON(S) IS(ARE) BEHIND IT. * POWER CAPSULE: Prov.28.25 A greedy man stirs up dissension, but he who trusts in the LORD will prosper. NIV * BIBLICAL COMMENTARY: The honest will be rescued from harm, but those who are crooked will be destroyed. Hard workers have plenty of food; playing around brings poverty. The trustworthy will get a rich reward. But the person who wants to get rich quick will only get into trouble. Showing partiality is never good, yet some will do wrong for something as small as a piece of bread. A greedy person tries to get rich quick, but it only leads to poverty. In the end, people appreciate frankness more than flattery. Robbing your parents and then saying, "What's wrong with that?" is as serious as committing murder. Greed causes fighting; trusting the LORD leads to prosperity. Trusting oneself is foolish, but those who walk in wisdom are safe. Whoever gives to the poor will lack nothing. But a curse will come upon those who close their eyes to poverty. Prov.28.18-27, NLT. * WISDOM NUGGETS: A grasping person stirs up trouble, but trust in GOD brings a sense of well-being.Prov.28.25, MSB. He who trusts in himself is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom is kept safe. Prov.28.25, NIV * ACTION POINTS: Throw out the mocker, and fighting, quarrels, and insults will disappear. Prov.22.10, NLT Dearest friends, you were always so careful to follow my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away you must be even more careful to put into action God's saving work in your lives, obeying God with deep reverence and fear. For God is working in you, giving you the desire to obey him and the power to do what pleases him. In everything you do, stay away from complaining and arguing, so that no one can speak a word of blame against you. You are to live clean, innocent lives as children of God in a dark world full of crooked and perverse people. Let your lives shine brightly before them. Hold tightly to the word of life, so that when Christ returns, I will be proud that I did not lose the race and that my work was not useless. Phil.2.12-16, NLT Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, fighting, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip. Rom.1.29 We should be decent and true in everything we do, so that everyone can approve of our behavior. Don't participate in wild parties and getting drunk, or in adultery and immoral living, or in fighting and jealousy. Rom.13.13 Remind everyone of these things, and command them in God's name to stop fighting over words. Such arguments are useless, and they can ruin those who hear them. 2Tim.2:14, But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is... Poverty, Riches, & Wealth by Kris Vallotton 5/5 Stars. Highly Recommend. In the book, Vallotton examines poverty, riches, and wealth through a biblical lens, challenging traditional Christian views on money. He suggests that God's intention is for His people to experience abundance rather than scarcity. Key takeaways: - Jesus was very aware that the way people handled money was often a reflection of what was going on in their hearts. - If you need money, don't ask for money; ask why you need money. - The fruit of perseverance is great character and promised actualized. In fact, perseverance is to our soul what exercise is to our body.

Chile is a country whose population suffers through a poor education system and high rates of income inequality. The Bible Society of Chile is reaching out to people suffering from a range of issues, including poverty, domestic violence, and serious illness with trauma healing. They are running Bible study groups and providing large-print Bibles for the elderly to help them draw closer to the Word of God. It is promoting Christian values amongst families and to educate teenagers on issues such as bullying and assertiveness. It is equipping churches to assist at-risk families, and to have the professional skills they need to deal with topics such as sexuality and domestic violence. --- This Bible Mission update is an excerpt from our latest Bible a Month Regular Giving Members' Report. I HATE POVERTY & that's why I work with the poor to help them break the poverty curse in Jesus name. Why: Growing up in a low-income family, I understand the value of knowledge, hard work and what it means to work your way up. I set my very first life goal at the age of 8, at the Colombo airport (15th November 1989), as I watched my mother fly overseas for work. She was compelled to do so since we were financially poor. I have gone through many challenging times, but this was the most extreme pain I had ever experienced. At the age of 8 I was determined to never be in a position where I couldn’t help myself, and others. My life started changing after I found Truth from Holy Bible. 2 Peter 1:3 Everything we could ever need for life and godliness has already been deposited in us by his divine power. For all this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing him who has called us by name and invited us to come to him through a glorious manifestation of his goodness. Deuteronomy 8:18 But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today. Proverbs 24:3 By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; [4] through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures. If you too hate poverty, I recommend this lesson by Dr Myles : https://lnkd.in/gAgWfY5W #endpoverty #wealthcreation #prosperity
