Who is the Designer? This question leads me to history. I recently bought this foldable water kettle. It was convenient in terms of space, weight, handling, and travel (for which I bought this). I started thinking about who might have designed this. Although I didn't find any individual's name, I got some history. A product shouldn't have an end-of-life 🦎 Making products is not just about ensuring they last until the end of their life cycle. It's also about making sure they can be prolonged. A key facilitator to achieve this is designing products that are easy to disassemble, which allows for repairs, updates, and recycling of spare parts. As a product designer, I love working in the cross-field between product design and industrial design, where function and form blend seamlessly.
