It is impressive how many circular services are being launched leveraging platform business models. This past week the platform @LoadUp announced the creation of a dedicated division called Refurn. Aimed at e-commerce furniture retailers, the Refurn service offers furniture companies the opportunity to more effectively manage returns. eCommerce has helped to boost sales and has become an essential channel for merchants. However, it has also created a mounting problem of returns and waste. LoadUp is building a certified national reseller network to purchase and removes the items. In short, platforms like Loadup are removing critical friction that has hampered the #circulareconomy. This is a great example of the type circular logistics that Rich Bulger and I discuss in our Masterclass: Circular Logistics and Platform Strategy: https://lnkd.in/g3QYZvt5 For more on LoadUp's announcement see: https://lnkd.in/g2DziUAb #circularplatforms #returns #platormstrategy #reverselogistics McFadyen Digital
