College #NIL opportunities have changed college sports. To succeed, fundraising groups driven by sponsor donations must adopt subscription and membership best practices. Optimizing the full journey for sponsors is key. For example, my college, Villanova University, has Friends of Nova that raises money through their website and has this membership page https://lnkd.in/eY5ySaY7. This page is a great start but could be more effective at driving donations. Onsite optimization could prove very valuable by testing; fewer pricing options, highlighting the value of a longer commitment, benefits of expand/collapse options, and many others. #collegeathletics #fundraising #membershipbestpractices #sponsorship

🎗️Corporate claims for charitable donations🎗️ When a limited company makes charitable donations specific rules apply. These may include Corporation Tax relief for donations to registered charities or community amateur sports clubs (CASC). However, the rules are different if the company is given something in return for making a donation, such as tickets for an event. If you're not able to raise money from your silent auction it's probably because you're forgetting this... SCARCITY. We've all been there. We're setting up a fundraising event, trying to figure out how many auction items we need to maximize the money raised, while ensuring we stay within the budget. It's not easy. However, with this silent auction hack, you'll never spend more than 5 minutes deciding how many items you need. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗰𝗸: For every 2 donors, use 1 silent auction item. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸? Say you have 120 guests coming to your event. Out of those 120 are 50 loyal donors. Now, out of the 70 guests who have never donated to you in the past, there may be a few who end up giving during your event. But, don't EXPECT them to give. Instead, use those unexpected donors to help drive up the auction item price for your loyal donors. So, for this scenario you should only have 25 silent auction items. Doing this will encourage fun bidding wars among donors and increase the amount raised for your mission. If you'd like to increase participation and allow more unexpected donors to give, try utilizing a raffle at the same event! #fundraisingtips #nonprofitfundraising #nonprofithelp #nonprofits #fundraisingideas

Does your community know what difference their donations make to your school? Deciding on your school's vision for the next 3 years and focusing on what difference donations from businesses or individuals make could drastically help you when fundraising. Let those donating understand how much of a difference their donations make, whether they're funding laptops for students, floodlights for a pitch to enable additional community sport or creating a SEND space. The important part is making it clear to gain buy-in!

Hey, fam! It's #TipOfTheWeek time. 🎟️ As you promote fundraising events like galas, concerts, or sporting fundraisers, it's crucial to avoid advertising ticket purchases as tax-deductible "donations." Here's why: Under IRS rules, amounts paid for admission to events aren't considered charitable contributions if the donor receives something of value in return. This includes Entry to the event itself, food, entertainment, and other benefits received. Because attendees get something tangible for their money, ticket costs cannot be treated as fully tax deductible "quid pro quo" donations. #NonprofitTips #TaxDeductible #Donations #501c3
