It's Monday, and you know what that means: it's time to meet more of our team. Today, we have the one and only Tyler Peterman! Originally from the south side of Indianapolis, Tyler still lives there with his family. He's been with Peterman for 16 years and is the VP of Excavation. Hey Tyler 👋 What do you enjoy doing outside of work? T: I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids outside of work. We enjoy playing outside and doing whatever the boys want to do! 🏡👦👦 What is your favorite part about working at Peterman Brothers? T: My favorite part about working at Peterman Brothers is getting to work with my brother and Dad when he is in… and just overall getting to work with everyone on the team. We have so many wonderful people who make every day so fun! It makes it feel more like hanging out with friends than work! 🤜🤛 What does a typical day look like for you? T: I do not feel like I have a typical day, and I guess that is another reason I love working here at Peterman Brothers. What is one lesson you learned from your parents that you want to pass down to your kids? T: I think the one lesson I learned from my parents was to work hard at everything you do in life, give it your all, and the rest will take care of itself. 💙 What’s your favorite show or movie to throw on when you can’t find something to watch or for background noise? T: We love to turn on Brooklyn 99 after a long day and just laugh. 😂 Should the toilet paper go over or under? T: All that matters is that there is toilet paper in the bathroom! 🚽 Tyler, thank you for sharing about yourself and everything you do for Peterman Brothers and our customers! #PetermanBrothers #MeetUsMonday #Plumbing #HVAC #Electrical #Excavation #Indianapolis

Coach & Advisor for 25 Years I Build Successful Businesses by Developing Super Focused CEOs At 2740 hard questions, have simple solutions
How we helped Ed get his time back. Time is priceless. But we often trade it for work. Here's the 2 keys to reclaim your time: 1- Recognize work doesn’t equal life. 2- Set clear, non-negotiable boundaries. Edward Maddox is a great example of this. Ed is an architect who specializes in weatherproofing buildings. Yet, his biggest challenge wasn’t about structures. It was about time. Working non-stop. 80, 90, 100 hours. A blurred line between work and sleep. We help him get his life back. His time back. Now? If he doesn’t want to work late nights or Sundays, he doesn’t. That’s freedom. That’s growth. It’s not just about working less. It’s about living more. ——— We help Purple Collar Business Owners work less and earn more! What does Purple Collar Mean? 👇 Take the 'Purple Collar Quiz' in my bio.

Quotidian Fridays. Day 4. Weaving Time. 7 hours. Thank you to The Hold - Home to Suffolk Archives for providing me with the space to conduct the performance art, as well as all of the help and support in setting up and the staff checking in on me. The housekeeping lady who helped me to clean up afterwards I also thank you; it meant a lot to me. Thank you to everyone who came by; some asked questions, some made comments, and others simply glanced quietly. Each of these encounters are valid, as I am still figuring out the way to approach these durational performances. Pure duration, in my opinion, may allow us to feel the present moment, transcend space, and transcend other factors. This, in turn, may strengthen the bonds within our living environments, resolving conflicts in diverse settings and possibly fostering mutual trust. What durational task should I do on my next performance art? Suffolkarchives

As a mother of two and the CEO of AMC, every day is about weaving together the threads of family, creativity, and passion. Some days are spent running between soccer games and school pick-ups, while others are spent here in the studio- completely immersed in the quiet joy of mossing. The beauty of our work isn’t just in the art we create, but in the moments of zen we find along the way. Designing moss walls, like life, is about balance. It’s about getting lost in the process, piece by piece, and being present in the details- whether it’s tucking in a fern just right or tucking little ones into bed at night. It’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it. Our team pours everything we have into creating spaces that bring nature to life- because, in the end, what we do isn’t just about moss walls. It’s about connection, presence, and creating places where life feels just a bit lighter, a bit greener, and a lot more joyful. We do it for our clients, we do it for our families, and we do it for ourselves. And that’s the magic that keeps us going. Reach out to me directly to discuss a moss wall for your business or home. I'd love to chat. Mary 🍃 #greenwalls #studiolife #moss #zen #lifebalance Mary CowgerJay Tye

We each perceive the world through the unique lens of our experiences. This truth struck me anew as I walked the streets of New York City this past Labor Day weekend. Amid the bustling city, I encountered a replica of the iconic photograph "Lunch atop a Skyscraper," which was being used to promote an attraction called "The Beam" experience. The promotional message, "Follow in their Fearless Footsteps," was meant to entice visitors to buy tickets. I paused to capture a photo of the scene, but found myself taking several more as I wrestled with my feelings about it—especially on Labor Day, a day dedicated to honoring and protecting workers. My perspective is naturally shaped by my concern for safety, a mindset that colors how I view the world. 🤔 The idea of promoting a “ride” that simulates the life-threatening risks workers once faced on the job seems unsettling to me. 🤔 Equally troubling is the notion of celebrating the act of hanging from a beam without fall protection as a form of bravery. Yet, at the same time, perhaps there is something to be said about how far we’ve come as a society if these once-perilous working conditions are now the subject of an exhibition. Is this situation ironic or appropriate? How do you see it through your lens? I’m eager to hear your thoughts. Feel free to share in the comments! #safetystateofmind #labourday #laborday #steelworkersunion #rockafellercenter #newyork #fallprotection #workersrights

▀ Gnat World View ▀ There's a miniature rose bush in our home office where I often do stretches and strength training. It's a beautiful violet colored rose that pleases both eye and heart. A couple gnats love it too. Those pesky little suckers must have been a package deal when we acquired the rose bush. The little gnats are friendly. Playful, even. They love to fly *right* in front of the Zoom camera at exactly❗️ the perfect moment. As I was doing crunches and looking up at the ceiling the other day... there was one of those little gnats bouncing off the ceiling and doing (whatever) gnats do. Their lifespan is about 7 days. That means that every day is like 10 years, to them. When they (these particular gnats) travel the "world" during their lifetime— the entire planet is an 11'X13' room with computers, desks and cameras (in front of which they fly). The only other creatures they encounter during their lifetime are two HUGE weird looking humans (and maybe other tiny creatures we don't realize live in the office 😳). Every "5 years" everything goes dark, for 5 years—until there's light again. There are likely rituals and celebrations surrounding this mystic happening. Then. They die. That's it. In terms of a life journey— gnat so bad. -- -- #Life #Journey #Perspective #Awareness #Meaning -- -- Image credit: Bluefield Daily Telegraph

Last week, we had the opportunity to visit the Playford site in SA that one of the Doorways workers strongly advocated for, encouraging us to see firsthand the impact of the work being done. Walking through the space, speaking with the staff and volunteers really brought to life the progress being made. It’s one thing to review reports and data, but another entirely to immerse ourselves in the environment where the work is actually happening. In this evaluation, the national site visits have been invaluable. They offer us deeper insights and nuances that can sometimes be missed in documentation. By seeing the strengths of a site that’s thriving, we’re also able to reflect on what might be missing in places that aren’t working as well. These visits not only validate what’s working but provide context that informs a more holistic understanding. It's a reminder that there is always something to learn from success stories and real-world observations.

Top tip incoming! If you want to learn more about whether a suburb is right for you to buy in a great staring point is to drive (or walk) around the nieghbourhoods during different times of day. In this way, you can get a sense of the area's traffic, noise levels, walkability and general atmosphere.
