Not all procurement roles are created equal. For me, the best ones are where you get out of the office. Very good summation of types of jobs in the cargo industry. However, I wish to take the liberty of pausing the following questions for the benefit of Freight & Logistics Fraternity ?? 1. In academics , how many types of jobs , have you heard off ?? Apart , from the generic titles , ignorance is rampant in academics.. In academics, they can now take shelter under : " multi skilling" where each worker is supposed learn what is allocated. Balance will dealt in the next blog.

A production guy manages one shop floor at a time. A procurement guy manages multiple shop floors at a time to feed that one shop floor in which he is employed. However, in practical, the former is valued most. Why? Because the production engineer is the customer to procurement engineer. Be it internal or external, companies who value their customers the most always have higher chances of succeeding among their competitors. Rather than finding fault with customers, we should find innovative ways to fulfill customer requirements on time to get more rewards in terms of incremental revenue as well as new business additions. #Procurement #Production

A #procurement manager has a quientessential role in positively influencing the #bottomline. Discipline and ballpark daily calender for tasks (even if seemingly unrelated to the task at hand) is very important. Summation of these efforts lead to magic. In simple terms, the goal of logistics management is to have the right amount of a resource or input at the right time, getting it to the appropriate location in proper condition, and delivering it to the correct intrenal or external custormer.

What I like about being in procurement is the purpose and impact it brings. Every product or service we encounter exists because procurement played a role in making it happen. Knowing that my work contributes to creating real-world outcomes is both fulfilling and inspiring. It’s a profession that not only drives results but also fosters collaboration and innovation, which I find deeply rewarding. #Procurement #Excellence #Value #Purpose
