The principal reason for applying AI to assess pulmonary vasculature from a CT scan, by differentiating between arterial and venous volume distribution is to uncover new insights into pulmonary vascular disease, underlying disease mechanisms, and treatment response. Emerging studies show that precise phenotyping of the pulmonary vasculature can help identify specific disease subtypes, potentially leading to more informed treatment decisions and more effective patient monitoring. Our expectation is that AV phenotyping will have the most noteworthy benefits in detecting pulmonary hypertension and its subtypes. This study investigated predictors of mortality in COVID-19 patients using flow cytometry to measure nine cytokines. Results revealed significantly elevated levels of MCP-1 and IP-10, associated with cytokine storm and post-disease thrombosis. Sharing in this network our latest research on how a spatially-resolved single cell atlas of a human tissue could be useful in the clinical setting. Based on data collected in the Brazilian Amazon, our integrated approach examines longitudinal clinical parameters, blood biomarkers, and lung pathology in COVID-19 patients. By integrating clinical and blood biomarkers with post-mortem lung-specific signatures, we've identified predictors of disease progression. Brazilian researchers study the association of clinical, electrocardiographic, and echocardiographic characteristics and biomarker serum levels with positive T. cruzi PCR in chronic Chagas disease. Systemic Sclerosis and Pulmonary Fibrosis: Inflammation Marker as a Guide In Switzerland, approximately 2 500 people suffer from the rare rheumatic disease systemic sclerosis (SSc), in which the immune system attacks the connective tissue and damages the skin as well as internal organs such as the lung.
