So many wise insights shared by our President and CEO, Tim Gallagher, on the latest episode of the Talking Sense podcast. His belief that, ‘the worst way to learn about a risk is by experiencing it’ has resonated with me since the first time I heard him say it, because it underscores the importance of communication, collaboration, and coordination in achieving a successful and reliable evolution of the bulk power system.

(Friday 8th November 2024) It was been one of the busier weeks in recent time. So, I just stopped here to wish you a lovely Friday and an fantastic weekend. I will keep preparing one tutorial about active power frequency control as a balancing mechanism. When you teach the traditional approach of power flow, it is common to use a slack generator to define the power balance in the power system. However, the reality of electrical power systems is a bit more complicated that a single slack generator. #DIgSILENT #PowerFactory is well equipped with other active power balancing mechanism, they are specially useful when you are doing post-morten analysis of blackouts 😉 ... Again, enjoy your weekend, enjoy your life! #Modelling #Simulation #Power #Energy #PowerFlow #LoadFLow #EnergyTransition #NetZero

We've been VERY excited to share this video about our Hybrid Test bed at Lindø! Our innovation program on hybrid testing is ending... After concluding four years of innovation in close collaboration with industrial partners on technical topics such as modelling, simulation, Digital Twins, IoT, AI/ML technologies for hybrid testing, we're very proud of our unique and state of the art hybrid test bed that we've established at Lindø. It's a result of close collaboration between numerous participating departments in our innovation programs on Hybrid Test Bed and Datadriven Risk Evaluation and our partners within the EUDP project DELTEC. #hybridtest #digitaltwin #innovation #wind

I'm thrilled to announce this week's AEIC (Association of Edison Illuminating Companies) Grid Mod Pod podcast where I reconnect with Ryan Quint. We reminisce about our encounters from the PSLF User Group meeting days over a decade ago. It’s exciting to dive into our shared passion and perseverance where he has made significant strides in the industry. Dr. Ryan Quint, the Founder and CEO of Elevate Energy Consulting, joins us to share his journey and insights in the Grid Mod space. Tune in to discover: -Lessons we can learn from large-scale grid disturbances involving inverter-based resources including solar, wind, and battery storage events -A high-level overview of changes coming to NERC (North American Electric Reliability Corporation) Reliability Standards, particularly those related to the energy transition and inverter-based resources -What success utilities have had meeting NERC standards, and what challenges we still have -How the utility industry can proactively address any blind spots related to meeting NERC reliability standards -What utilities and industry stakeholders can do to ensure a more reliable and resilient grid of the future https://lnkd.in/eKn7yRm6
