The theme for World Pharmacists Day 2024 is "Pharmacists: Meeting global health needs". The day is celebrated on September 25th each year. The International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) created World Pharmacists Day to recognize pharmacists' role in improving global health and to encourage activities that promote their role. The FIP was established on September 25th in 1912, which is why World Pharmacists Day is celebrated on that day #snsinstitutions #snsdesignthinkers #snsdesignthinking

Experienced Clinical Pharmacist Specialising in Dermatology, Minor Ailments, and Hypertension + Pharmacist Independent Prescribing (IP)
Wow, it's great that this topic is finally being discussed. Addressing this issue will definitely ensure that the clinical services provided by pharmacists and other pharmacy team members meet the necessary hygiene standards expected in a clinical setting, and even more. It will also create a positive working environment for pharmacists and the pharmacy team. I will put my vote on the suggestion for the CQC to regulate pharmacy premises, while the GPhC focuses on regulatory aspects of pharmacists and other members.#regulatorycompliance #pharmacyregulation
The The Pharmacists' Defence Association chair has told the parliamentary pharmacy inquiry that the Care Quality Commission (CQC) should regulate pharmacy premises, while the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) should focus on pharmacists. https://bit.ly/47F3nlQ #pharmacyregulation

In our latest Newsletter 📜 , Dace Ķikute, Chairwoman of the Latvijas Farmaceitu biedriba BDR, shares an overview 🔍 of the latest news in the Latvian pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical care sectors 💊. Thanks to Dace Ķikute and Latvijas Farmaceitu biedriba BDR! ✅ The Pharmacist’s Society of Latvia (LFB) was founded in 1994 and is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. LFB represents the professional, economic, and legal interests of pharmacists and pharmacist assistants, with over 1000 members. We collaborate with state institutions and other public organizations in the pharmaceutical sector. ✅ One of LFB's most important tasks is to "keep a finger on the pulse" and lobby for pharmacists' interests when changes are introduced in pharmaceutical care processes due to regulatory changes. Since 2018, we can mention several examples. ✅ Currently, we are actively evaluating and discussing the drug pricing reform proposed by the current Minister of Health. We are concerned about the impact of the proposed pricing model on pharmacy competition, which may weaken the positions of individual pharmacies. Pharmacists working in individual pharmacies in the regions provide daily pharmacy services and advice close to residents' homes. More https://lnkd.in/dNEXhiUt

For the European Association of Hospital Pharmacists it is of utmost importance that a clear pathway to address unmet healthcare needs is devised. The unmet need definition proposed by the European Commission in its revision of the general pharmaceutical legislation is in the view of EAHP insufficient to fully address the entire problem in the EU. EAHP believes that it would be important to not only focus on unmet medical needs but to widen the definition also to healthcare needs which are not always met equally in all Member States Read the EAHP Board opinion on Unmet Medical Healthcare needs HERE: https://lnkd.in/epGqKTsv
