Oftentimes, we don't think of updating a resume while working. What are some key things to include on a resume? Here are three tips: 1. Focus on Key Pharmacy Technician Skills: sharing high-level skills will help build a base level of credibility as a pharmacist 2. Come Up With a Strategic Format for Your Resume: be very specific when it comes to structuring your resume 3. Provide Hard Numbers to Prove Your Value as a Pharmacy Tech: you wouldn't want to share unrelated information on your resume unless it benefits. Searching for a Medical Science Liaison job – does your resume stand out? Are you missing out on MSL opportunities by submitting an outdated resume? On average, a resume will receive less than 15 seconds of attention at first glance. How do you compel the hiring manager to keep reading it? Your education and experience form the essential foundation, but other factors have a huge impact on how much time a hiring manager will spend reading the resume. ▪ The format needs to make it easy to understand your background at a glance. “Take me through your resume” is almost always the first area covered in the interview. Can you cover your background in 3 – 5 minutes? ▪ Key words should be obvious, accurate, and relevant. Key words can be translated to fit with the MSL role, but they should relate to a candidate’s actual experience. ▪ The layout should allow you to submit the resume into a company’s applicant tracking system without altering the format. Companies are interviewing for MSL teams now, is your resume up-to-date and ready to submit? Do you have questions about your resume or the job search process? I possess more than 15 years of experience developing resumes and coaching Medical Science Liaison candidates, from first time MSL to the Vice President of Medical Affairs.
