This Q & A with regulators provide a lot of clarity on the future of gene editing, platform technology, delivery vectors, particularly in the context of INDs. It will be of special interest for the rare disease community where many mutations could be fixed with similar but not identical #CRISPR constructs. It appears FDA is open to a platform approach, where a proof-of-concept trial can be generalized at much lower cost and effort.
