Pharvaris is saddened by the passing of Professor Marcus Maurer, a distinguished leader in the fields of dermatology, allergy, and hereditary angioedema (HAE) research and clinical practice. Prof. Maurer was pivotal in advancing knowledge and care of HAE, also contributing to numerous clinical programs for HAE therapies. His medical knowledge, scientific rigor, commitment to patient care, and proactive collaboration with his partners, including Pharvaris, will have lasting impacts on the advancement of care and of new treatment options for people living with HAE. We will miss Prof. Maurer dearly and are forever grateful for his contributions to the HAE community. We extend our sincerest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and patients.
