Great things person of the day: Today's Person of the Day is Robert Faxon - Chairman of the Board of Faxon Firearms Recently I was fortunate to sit next to Robert on a flight from Boston to Cincinnati. We started chatting, and we hit it off. We talked about scouts, Camp Friedlander and Peterloon, we talked about keynote speaking and Bob's passion - his family business (noted above). We also talked about another business Bob started up - The Ohio Valley Antique Mall. And we talked about fishing, my home town of Marblehead (he goes there to fish frequently) and a lot more. The time literally flew by. But that's not why Bob is the Great Things Person of the day. Here's why: Bob is living his dream. As former CEO of Faxon Firearms, he built up his family’s business with passion and holds several patents in his field. Today, he’s moved into the role of Chairman and brought in a new CEO, allowing him to enjoy this season of life more fully. That means traveling with his wife, spending quality time with family, and embracing the adventures he loves. Case in point: Bob was on his way to a World Series game in New York—not because he’s a fan of the Yankees or Dodgers, but because he loves baseball and wanted to experience the excitement of a World Series game. Bob is the perfect example of living life to the fullest. He’s fried his chickens and moved forward with purpose. Bob, thank you for the great conversation—and keep frying those chickens! #Inspiration #LivingWithPurpose #BusinessLeadership

Turning Setbacks into Strengths: The Sylvester Stallone Story In the mid-1970s, a young Sylvester Stallone faced immense challenges. He was broke, rejected by countless studios, and even had to sell his beloved dog, Butkus, for $50 just to survive. Despite the odds, Stallone never gave up on his dream. When he wrote Rocky, a story reflecting his own struggles, studios offered him thousands of dollars for the script — but only if he let someone else star in it. Stallone refused, insisting he play the lead. His perseverance paid off. Not only did he get the role, but Rocky became a massive success, winning Academy Awards and cementing his legacy. Here’s the twist: after receiving his first paycheck, Stallone made it his mission to buy back Butkus. The person who had bought the dog initially refused but eventually agreed — for a steep $15,000. Lesson: Your current struggles don’t define your future. Stay true to your dreams and to the relationships that matter. Like Stallone, your persistence can turn rejection into success and reunite you with what you hold dear. #Motivation #NeverGiveUp #SuccessStory #DreamBig

What do a quirky inventor, a loyal dog and a London landmark have in common? A brilliant leadership lesson. Wallace and Gromit are lighting up Battersea Power Station! The heart of their adventures isn’t just the gadgets or mischief; it’s their relationship. Watching their festive escapades reminds me of the magic that happens when people work together and truly support one another. Trust and Loyalty: Wallace might be a bit of a dreamer, but Gromit always has his back. Whether it’s in work or life, building that kind of trust transforms any partnership into something extraordinary. Balancing Strengths: Wallace brings the wild ideas, Gromit brings the steady hand—and together, they make it work. Great teams aren’t about everyone being the same; they’re about celebrating differences and finding strength in them. Resilience Together: Things don’t always go to plan (especially for these two!), but their unshakeable bond keeps them moving forward. It’s a powerful reminder of how much we can achieve when we face challenges side by side. This festive projection on the Battersea Power Station chimneys is a wonderful spectacle, but it’s also a warm reminder of how strong relationships bring out the best in all of us. PS: What’s the secret to a great partnership in your opinion? Let me know in the comments! PPS. Credit to the brilliant team at Aardman for this incredible gift to Londoners! #KadoufConsultancies #ElKadoufInsights #LeadershipDevelopment #GrowthMindset #WallaceAndGromit #BatterseaPowerStation #Teamwork #Resilience #Partnership #Creativity
