The prospective documentary will present the stories of some patients with multiple sclerosis (MS), and other autoimmune diseases before and after Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT). It will take a deep dive into American health care incentives, and why people are not aware of or offered this option. It’s a fascinating, frustrating story why this isn’t the gold standard to treat MS (and other autoimmune diseases). It can change, though, with more awareness. Let me know if you want to be a part of the solution, too, helping to make this documentary: info@freewaterfilms.com or DM me and please share this proof-of-concept video For more information on HSCT, go to astemcelljourney.com

#LungCancer is one of the most expensive cancers when diagnosed at a late stage, costing tens of thousands more than early-stage treatment. In a recent New York Times letter to the editor, our #CEO, Laurie Ambrose, highlighted the crucial role of #EarlyDetection through lung cancer screening. As Laurie stated, "We need to invest more, not less, to find the disease early when it can be managed and cured...Screening saves lives." The National Cancer Strategy states that 90% of patients who receive radiotherapy should commence it within 15 days of being ready to treat. Last year only 6/10 patients began their radiotherapy treatment on time, compared to 8/10 people in 2018. Time and time again we have called on government to increase capacity and infrastructure to deliver the radiation therapy and care Irish patients deserve. More and more people are being diagnosed with cancer every year in Ireland. We need commitment from government to invest in long term solutions to meet future demand, including increasing radiation therapy university places. Review of radiation therapy staffing recommends 'urgent action' on vacancies (irishexaminer.com)
