How did my week start?
I felt at home ♥️
For new employees, a new workplace will ALWAYS be nerve wracking… and why wouldn’t it be? 90% of the time, you’ll be starting your new role with people you have had little to no interaction with. Most people would expect the formal “Hey, welcome, what’s you’re name and what is your role?” conversation with a few people and you get settled in your workspace and start getting on with your job. You would have someone who shows you the roles and responsibilities tasked to you, then you do that till it’s time for lunch or to go home.
Not at COS….
This was waiting for me at my desk, organized by my amazing leader Alberta Iskandar! As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by so many people who genuinely looked happy to be here on a Monday morning. I got a tour of the office, with the very first stop being the coffee machines 😍 We ran through my first week schedule and what it consisted of, what caught my attention, was the Meet and Greets, all scheduled with the Executives and Co - CEO's. Now that may not mean a huge deal to some but to me it did. I met each and every single one of them and the things they all had in common? Their warmth. Every single one of these incredible people, took the time to explain to me who they are not just as an Exec/Co CEO, but as a person. When people say "I have an open door policy", I think nothing of it as 9 times out of 10, that's just something they say, but here, it's quite true.
I am extremely excited to start on this new adventure and see how far and how high it can take me. Stay tuned!
