All nonprofit leaders have inner critics. Sometimes they are loud and in your face. Sometimes they are quietly insidious. Great nonprofit leaders know how to quiet them so they can use their sage strengths. I call one of my inner critics, Bossy Boots. Do you recognize your inner critic? Do you have nicknames for them? I'd love to hear in the comments! p.s. I can teach you how to recognize when your inner critic is calling the shots and how to quiet them enough so you can be in command. Nonprofit leaders choose to lead in the nonprofit sector. It’s not for money, or praise, or fame. Rather, it’s the mission, impact, lives changed, capacity to do good, partnership with like-minded people, and the sleep of the just. Nonprofit leaders have a different perspective and mindset, one of servant leadership and an "others-first" mentality. Nonprofit leaders could have chosen instead to pursue a leadership role in corporate America or in government but they didn’t. They are here...in the nonprofit sector...and we are so fortunate to have such capable, effective, ethical, and successful individuals contributing to the health, strength, vitality, and improvement of our community through their leadership of our nonprofits. Three cheers for our nonprofit leaders! #servantleadership #servantleader #Fulcrumleader #nonprofitleader #nonprofitleaders #leadership #nonprofit #nonprofits #thirdsector #nonprofitsector LinkedIn for Nonprofits Christopher "Chris" LooneyAnne ThomasNoel BurcelisRickey N.
