Let’s talk about my social media. I’ve been thinking for a while about having a ‘glow up’ on my socials to try and increase my following. I see lots about creating your brand, making your page look professional and sleek, aesthetically pleasing. You know the travel accounts I mean, the ones that look so lovely and glamorous. I often wonder about the travel experts behind these accounts. Are they experts on social media and have the skills to make their pages look great, and do they have the travel knowledge to back it up, or is it just all smoke and mirrors…? Personally I never have the time to spend on it as I’m too busy booking your holidays! After a LOT of thought you may or may not be pleased to know I’ve decided against a re brand, a glow up, to change my page. I have a birthday later this week and I’ll be starting my 50th turn around the sun. I’m comfortable in my own skin and I know my worth, the value I bring and the knowledge and wealth of experience I have in travel so I’m not going to change. I can’t..! So if you want to keep following me and my honest, open, fun travel adventures, my page that’s haphazard, messy and 100% real I’d love to have you here. And feel free to share my pages with anyone who wants to see travel content from someone who’s a true expert, with a lifetime of experience, with so much passion and love for what I do. It helps me curate personalized itineraries based on what's trending online. - **Pinterest:** A go-to platform for travel inspiration and guides. It's a treasure trove of information on destinations and activities. I often create mood boards to curate itineraries tailored to my clients' preferences and lifestyle. - **YouTube:** I leverage it to explore other travelers' itineraries to the destinations I choose. This helps me find the perfect match for my client's profile and preferences. As a teenager and Gen Z, my online exploration continuously enhances my knowledge of travel destinations, ensuring my clients have access to unique and exciting experiences. We gave away $10 Flights to Australia and ignited a Travel Craze! This was two years ago and traditionalists looked at me like a mad man suggesting TikTok as the answer. TikTok needs to be in every destination or travel brands channel mix. The campaign: Max & Monty, with their millions of followers, were our secret weapons. We turned their ordinary lives upside down, transforming them from London lads to Aussie adventurers. The campaign kicked off with a TikTok live from their hotel room in London which received over 20,000 comments and 200,000 likes in thirty minutes - this was the moment I realised we were onto a winner. For a fortnight, we chaperoned the pair of unsuspecting Brits on a whirlwind tour of South Australia.
