We recently had the pleasure of welcoming a diverse group of work experience students, to gain valuable insights into the work of our General Counsel team. Over the course of their time with us, these students participated in a variety of engaging workshops, led by our very own GC team members, providing them with hands-on experience and a deeper knowledge of the insurance industry. They were also treated to a guided tour of the Royal Courts of Justice, the Inns of Court, and the Old Bailey. This tour offered them a chance to appreciate the storied past of the legal profession and its impact on the world today. In addition to this, they had the unique opportunity to sit in on a Court of Appeal hearing, offering them a real-world glimpse into the judicial process at the highest level. We are proud to have been able to provide such a broad and insightful introduction to the legal field, while also giving a glimpse into the heart of Phoenix Group’s work. We look forward to continuing to support the next generation of talent as they explore their future careers.

We love celebrating our amazing colleagues, who are at the heart of our community efforts. Every year, we give our colleagues team three volunteering days, so they can use their skills and time to help the communities our customers live in. Recently, the team helped celebrate VOCAL’s 30th anniversary. VOCAL Voice of Carers Across Lothian supports and empowers unpaid carers in Edinburgh and Midlothian. Our volunteers played a vital role in the event, from setting up and greeting visitors to helping with workshops and taking photos!

Our Phoenix colleagues have once again gone above and beyond! 15 of our incredible colleagues took on the 3 Peaks Fundraising Challenge to raise money for Carers UK, who we partnered with earlier this year as part of our ‘Caring for Carers’ initiative to restore balance to the lives of working carers. The team tackled the highest mountains in Scotland, England, and Wales, totalling 3300m of ascent across a 26-mile route, topped off with around 10 hours of driving between the mountains- all under 24 hours! Our Phoenix Heroes have raised over £20k* (and still rising!) for Carers UK. *includes company matching and subject to audit completion

Start new employment and you’re automatically added into a workplace pension by your employer. The introduction of auto-enrolment has been a success in helping people save & better prepare for retirement. But is it supporting you to save enough?
