It was then I stumbled upon a simple yet profound realization: Time, like the ocean, is vast but unlike it, our time is finite. The tide of entrepreneurship waits for no one. It was time to sail purposefully, or risk being lost at sea. The turning point came when I decided to chart my voyage using an old naval trick, the Eisenhower Matrix. Imagine my tasks as islands on a map. Some were volcanic, urgent and demanding immediate attention, while others were like tranquil atolls, important but not pressing. I plotted my course, prioritizing the must-dos and navigating away from time-sink whirlpools. This alone set my startup on a windward trajectory. But the true north for time mastery? I found it in the Pareto Principle. Like a seasoned sailor who can read the stars, I sifted my tasks to uncover the constellations that guided me to the most bountiful harbors. By focusing on the 20% of my efforts that delivered 80% of the treasure, my decisions were not just swift—they were razor-sharp and laden with gold. Now, no captain can steer a ship alone. Heeding the wisdom of great leaders, I entrusted my crew with tasks, knowing that by sharing the helm, we could sail farther and faster. It allowed me to climb the crow's nest and gaze further afield, to foresee emerging markets and changing winds—strategic insights that are the realm of true entrepreneurial captains. Embarking on this voyage with a growth mindset was the equivalent of having the winds always in our favor. Every storm we weathered was a lesson, every headwind a chance to refine our sails. Yesterday was challenging, with a rollercoaster of "no's," a brief "yes," and back to more "no's," leaving me emotionally drained. A tear even fell onto my computer, a physical manifestation of my frustration. Despite this, I took a deep breath and continued forward. The rejections, especially yesterday's, were tough to swallow. While I'm no stranger to hearing "no," yesterday's string of disappointments hit harder. Entrepreneurship is a tough road, often filled with obstacles and setbacks. But I remind myself that if it were easy, everyone would be doing it. Through it all, my goal remains unchanged: to share my journey of growing and scaling Aerodei with all of you, including the valuable lessons I learn along the way. Lesson: Yesterday taught me that it’s ok to walk away and take a break. It's a reminder that setbacks are part of the journey, and how we respond to them defines our path to success.
