Thank you to the Marco Island Rotary for attending our Lunch and Tour held at the Collier Boulevard Hospital! The members had an opportunity to listen to a presentation from Collier CEO, Karl Leistikow and CNO, Suzanne Bertsch Gibson and tour our campus. It was a pleasure to host the event and continue to make great community connections. At Physicians Regional we are positively committed to our community's good health.

Roselia has made a positive impact here at Physicians Regional and was recognized at the EVS Town Hall last week. The event was a huge success and Roselia's impact was celebrated with the healthcare system. Roselia received a heartfelt commendation from our ER staff, who said: "The staff here in the ER at Collier would like to give some major props to our housekeeper Rosie! She is always smiling, in a great mood, and very hard-working! Please, give her some recognition from us!!!"

Our Heart Center recently celebrated its 4 year anniversary of our first cardiac surgery procedure at Physicians Regional. During this time, the Heart Center has performed over 800 open heart procedures, more than 400 TAVRs and close to 300 other surgeries including over 40 robotic procedures. In total, we have performed over 1500 procedures since the launch of our program during the COVID crisis. We are so proud of our amazing heart center team for their accomplishments! August 1st is World Lung Cancer Day. Lung cancer causes more deaths in the United States than any other type of cancer. A low-dose CT scan may help detect lung cancer in its earliest stages, when it’s more likely to be cured. Physicians Regional is the only accredited lung program in Collier County.
