Hi, my name is Doctor Sumita Umar and I come with the background of 25 years of experience as a leadership professional in across different cultures. I am visiting Physics Wala for their future ready leaders. Program and what I have experienced here is a lot of young talent which needs to be nurtured given that environment where they can start opening up, start speaking and start sharing what is going on for them in a very, very transparent way so that they can deal with the challenges that they are facing today. The purpose of the workshop was to groom our future leaders, particularly in the engineering team. So in general we we as engineers focus a lot on solving technical problems where we lose on handling the people problems. I think leadership is sometimes misunderstood. It's not only about giving orders for something. A leader is someone who knows what needs to be done, but at the same time he's able to empathize and understand his team members and then motivate them and drive them towards a common goal. So I learned about different personality traits and how those traits help you in your day-to-day activities, How you can be more aggressive, how you can be more analytical and inward scenarios, what works the best. And in that case, I tried implementing certain learnings in certain different scenarios, how to give a bad feedback, how to empower other people, and those things helped me. Yeah. So I think it was the role play that we did where we had a problem statement where we wanted to convince the senior management about delays in some projects. This program has been designed in keeping in mind that we will be developing them on these certain self management skills. People development is so that is required at their role. That is one of the key agenda that we had when we were designing this program. So this program has used a behavioral science model and the coaching was the only methodology that we used for this particular future ready leadership program. I think PW is an organization where you will get enough challenges and you will get enough opportunities to learn and grow of. People are really young, they are very energetic. If you want a culture where you want to work hard and you want to get rewarded, I think this is the best place to come. In the end, we are creating something which is going to create a big, big impact on people. So it's not just work, but also it is something that is helping people out in the end.
