Do you include injury prevention sessions in your weekly periodisation? These sessions should include static & dynamic balance, plyometrics, lower limb power and strength, however, they should be individualised based on the player and his/her needs. Benefits associated with 15-20 minute sessions have been found to increase balance/stability, leg power, isokinetic leg strength, sprint abilities and sport-specific tests.
