ACL Rehab x Sports Science How can we use sports science and integrate it with ACL rehab? One question we ask when jumping is whether a deeper or shallower countermovement depth better? Well this depends if the athlete is facial based or muscular based. This athlete is 9 months post-ACL, his baseline movement strategy are quick and shallow (fascial based mover). Thus, in his RTP metrics I would like to his depth decrease. As a fascial based mover these are the metrics I am interested in: 1. RSI-mod 2. Eccentric duration 3. Concentric duration 4. Peak velocity 5. Eccentric + Concentric velocity 6. CMJ stiffness As we can see, peak and force metrics are not as applicable here since these are not his movement strategies.
